  • Technology and Printing Develops New Learning

    Funded Nov 29, 2019

I would like to extend my gratitude for the generous donation to my students and their education. Donating two IPads and a printer ink supply, is enabling my students to use online educational programs that can further their education and enrich their learning experience. In addition, they are able to print their work to show case it and be proud of the work that they do.

With your donation, not only you are helping my student during this school, you will also help my future students in years to come.”

  • Guided Reading Making Miracles

    Funded May 3, 2011

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The books that you donated have helped my students to improve their reading skills and ended their school year feeling more secured about their reading ability. With the books, I am able to differentiate my instruction and help my students who are reading at various levels (low, intermediate and advanced).

With the current economical situation across our country, it is very difficult to find the funds to provide for new books. Without your help, my students would have not have the opportunity to get the books they needed to achieve mastery in reading this year. In addition, Your books will be used by the new upcoming students, which allows for your wonderful donation to help more students.

Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would go without the essentials.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Burnell

  • When Guided Reading Meets Future Readers

    Funded Dec 11, 2010

I would like to thank you for the wonderful donation to my classroom. Your donation is helping me develop differentiated guided reading lessons, in order, to help my students improve their reading ability. With your donation I am finally able to add the tools and resources that my teaching tool box needed. I can now make sure that my students become successful readers and meet the promotional requirements.

There is not a greater reward for a teacher than to see a student feeling successful and since I started using your wonderful donation, I have seen my students move up from one to three reading levels. Their self-esteem is improving and they come to school motivated and ready to read. You are making that possible. My students and I are very grateful for the wonderful gift you gave us, which will produce a life time of rewarding reading experiences.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Burnell

  • Traveling on the Magic Carpet of Genres!!

    Funded Dec 30, 2009

800x600 I just want to thank you for your generous gift to my students. The books that you donated have helped my students every single day. We used them during the Reading Workshop where the students get to read independently or with a peer. With the new books, my students have found a new motivation to read. They are now eager to read and have read more than ever. This reading experience has benefited them a great deal. Their reading levels have improved and they have become more able readers. With the books you donated, my students are able to practice the many reading skills needed to succeed in school.

Our school is facing a budget crisis and new books are rare nowadays. As a teacher, I have used the books to conduct whole class instruction and small group instruction. Small group instruction allows me to meet the students in a more individualized manner to be able to help them in the areas they need the most. The books you donated have made this process easier and exciting for everyone.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Burnell

  • Motivating Learning And Understanding Through Visuals!

    Funded Jun 4, 2009

Thank you very much for the document camera. I have been working with a Kindergarten class this year and they have been benefiting from your generous gift. As they have been working on their letters a lot, I have been able to use the camera to put books up that depict pictures that begin with various sounds and they can come and point to the picture on the screen and tell what it begins with. They also enjoy when I put their writing work up for everyone to see. I can use these opportunities to show them quality work from their classmates so they know what they need to do. This has really increased the quality of their own work and the pride of completing their stories.

Your gift has been such a help in our class in many areas and your generosity is greatly appreciated by me and 23 wonderful students!

In addition, I am sharing the document camera with other teachers in the building from various grades and many more children have been impacted by your generosity.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Burnell
