Decode to Read!
Funded Jun 14, 2024Thank you so much for supporting literacy by bringing decodable readers into my 2nd grade classroom. These help so much with my developing readers by giving them an opportunity to practice known phonics skills in context. They feel successful and are practicing reading skills!
They enjoy reading new stories and old ones too... and I love that they are deepening their skills and they don't even realize the amount of brainwork they are doing!
I appreciate your dedication to supporting public education, especially in my classroom!
Thank you again... from the bottom of our 2nd grade hearts!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bainbridge
Snug as a Bug in a Rug!
Funded Sep 6, 2023Thank you so much for the amazing, colorful rug for our 1st grade classroom! This rug makes our whole group learning feel spacious and everyone has their own special spot to sit.
When my students saw this rug, they literally gasped at the way it transformed the look of our space. It was so exciting to see their reactions and how much they enjoy being on our rug!
Thank you again for supporting this project in my classroom. I truly appreciate the dedication you have for providing for our classroom!”

Funded Nov 28, 2022We are ABSOLUTELY loving the Yak Pack comics that you helped provide for our classroom! The stories are decodable, so students are using their phonics skills to read the books and, because they are comics, they are in a format that is not threatening or overwhelming to struggling readers!
Thank you for sending these materials to our classroom and helping to empower my students to read. They love the silly stories and the funny characters... and I love that they are having so much fun, they don't even realize what important skills they are using!”

Funded Oct 3, 2022Thank you so much for supporting my students and myself by bringing more ink into our classroom! We are so grateful for the supplies.
Having this supply lets me print things as needed without having to walk allll the way to the office. It lets students print their work... which they are so so proud of!
Ink doesn't seem like a necessity to have inside the four walls of a classroom, but it helps make life easier for this busy teacher.
I appreciate your support in our classroom and, trust me... my students do too!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bainbridge
ThINK You Can Help With Our INK?
Funded Mar 17, 2022Thank you so much for helping bring this ink into my classroom!
"Ink" may not be the most exciting supply you can think of, but I can't describe how happy my students were seeing their work come off this printer... literally standing there and watching, waiting to take their work off with big grins on their faces!
It also makes it easier for me, saving me time, to have this right in the classroom for printing.
I am so thankful for you and can't wait to get much more use out of this printer and ink in the coming years!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bainbridge
Push Print, Please!
Funded Sep 3, 2021Thank you so much for donating to bring a printer to my 2nd grade classroom!
Not only has this been invaluable to me... I can quickly print things for my classroom without having to leave the room to go to the community printer, I don't have to wait for a copy machine that (probably!) has a paper jam, is out of toner, or some other issue that is usually happening at copy machines! But, I can also print items for individual students, allow students to print their own work, and all with speed and ease.
This printer has made a huge impact in my classroom... for something as simple as a little printer, it has truly made a difference and has made life a little easier for this teacher! Thank you so much!”

Ms. Bainbridge
What's the SCHOLASTIC News?
Funded Aug 13, 2021My students are loving reading their Scholastic magazines each week! We are learning about new topics, exploring new places, and being introduced to new people.
We got to read about how bats help pollinate flowers and my students were amazed! I am excited to share an issue with them before Thanksgiving all about how the floats are made for the famous Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City!
Thank you for your donation to bring the outside world into my classroom by providing these magazines for my students. Their success is directly connected to your generosity!”

Funded Apr 13, 2021Thank you so much for donating to my project to bring interactive games to my classroom. You funded this project during a time when my school was teaching remotely due to Covid-19.
Teaching students on a computer screen each day was a real learning experience and, one of the challenges, was keeping students engaged when I couldn't provide them hands-on activities. These games made my students so excited to learn! They begged me to post links to the games in our Google Classroom so they could access them on their downtime.
The Brainpopjr videos added so much to the visuals I used in our classroom too. They loved learning this way!
I'm excited to continue using these materials as we transition back to a new school year, with in-person learning! I know the students will enjoy these in-person too! Thank you for your care for my students.”

Weather, Animals, and Magnets... Oh My! Support These Little Scientists!
Funded May 21, 2019Thank you so much for sparking an interest in science in my 2nd graders! They were so excited when we unboxed the materials and couldn't wait to get started!
Science to kiddos always conjures up images of steaming test tubes and bubbling potions, but these materials will help my students understand that science is all about asking questions and discovering answers.
Thank you for taking the time and care to donate to our classroom. I can't wait to dig into the materials and help my students develop a love for discovery!”

Ms. Bainbridge
Listen Up! Headphones Needed!
Funded Nov 27, 2018Thank you so much for generously donating to my project. My students have loved learning to use the CD players and listen to books on CD with the headphones. It's exciting to see them using these learning tools to listen to fluent reading and enjoy literature.
It's especially great to see them using something in their hands, turning pages, and not needing a tablet or a computer but, instead, interacting with an actual text!
Thank you again for sharing with my classroom. My first graders love using these tools and I enjoy seeing them as they grow into readers!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bainbridge
