    Your generous donation for the Fun-damentals of Reading is going to have such a amazing impact on our students. The teachers are saying that the students were so excited to see the pop-it high frequency learning games. The magnetic letters are already being used in small groups by the teachers and they are saying that because its hands-on, the students are very engaged. Your support is very appreciated!”

  • Calming Area

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

    I am so grateful to have been funded for such a fantastic project! The calming area was a huge hit with my students. They thought the calming area was the coolest place ever. We used the calming area primarily at recess, when a student need a break or did not feel the need to be on the yard to play. The red park bench was so inviting to sit at near the garden and enjoy the flowers and insects. I placed the activities and books in a rolling cart so that it could be brought in on rainy days. Each and everyday students have wanted to access the area. It was especially helpful with a few of my kiddos who have challenges with anger management. It provided a place that they could separate and cope with their emotions. Thank you for making such a beautiful impact on my students lives!”

  • Learning to Read Actively

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to my school's Kindergarten and First Grade classrooms. Teachers were very surprised and grateful when I presented the hands-on learning activities to them. They said, "These will be perfect for our small group learning stations when we are working on reinforcing students reading skills."

    The magnetic letter boards support letter shapes and names tactilely with the magnetic pen and are so engaging to play with that even the adults are fidgetting with them. They are a new spin on teaching the letters that support proper letter formation with kinesthetic input. The Sight Word Swat game is also tactile and auditory and it allows students to interact with peers while learning their sight words. The students ask daily if they can go play with the Bug Word Swatting game. They have so much fun with it that they moan when time is over and it's time to clean it. All these activities are fun and engaging ways for students to begin to learn to read.”

  • Our Computers Need to be Cared For!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

    Thank you so much for your generous donation. The computer triangle desktop organizers are coming just in time. We begin State Mandated Testing in two weeks and these organizers will simplify the management of the devices. No longer will teachers have to stack these computers on top of one another. The devices will be protected from getting scratched and damaged. Also, now, charging the devices is not a challenge and the cords are manageable and easy to connect.

    Each of the classrooms have created a number system for the student's devices so that students can quickly grab their computers in just seconds. The students are so excited to now have a simple, quick system to be on their way to learning.”

  • Sight Word Reading Is Fun Through High-Interest Books

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

    My students have shown amazing progress with the sight word books you have so kindly provided. They are just learning to read and learning their sight words is often the most challenging for them. These high-interest books with colorful photos, simple texts, and rebus pictures have made learning the words and starting to read enjoyable.

    As my students explore each book, we focus on just 5-10 sight words at a time- a get the targeted practice they need to make each word their own. We have used these books daily in small groups during our reading intervention time.

    An added bonus is that these books have made the most impact on my English Language students. The text is simple and engaging and the students feel successful and are learning English. Their progress is remarkable and they are so excited each time we pull out a new book!”

My school is primarily made up of English Language Learners. Many of my students need support and intervention in reading and math due to English being their second language. Many of my students don't have the chance to work with technology at home. Providing my students with these technology items will give them the ability to learn in a new and exciting way.
