Creating Art With A MakerBot

This is truly amazing, I can't believe that this really happened. This is the first time that I have tried to do anything like donorschoose.org and to be able to get the support that I have received from all of you is beyond my wildest dreams. I am overwhelmed with appreciation.

My students are excited to start learning about this new technology and it's application in the creative arts. Our first steps will be learning how to create our designs on our computer. I have many student that are already playing with 3D software. We have talked about making tools to be used in our ceramics class in addition to creating finished 3D art works. It's just amazing to think that we are even able to talk about HOW we are going to use our MakerBot. None of this would be possible with out all of you.

Just a side note, after telling several teachers about your generosity and how we will now have a 3D printer on campus, a few have asked if they would be able use it with their students! This machine will be utilized by many students through out our campus for many years to come.
