New Year, New Supplies for Special Needs Students!
Funded Dec 13, 2015Since this project was funded, by wonderful people like you, our classroom has gone through so many positive changes. With the donation of the supplies, we have begun new projects, new routines, or new opportunities for center work. We have been able to use the new games that we received in our differentiated learning centers in our classroom. With the addition of these new resources, my students are able to practice working together, which is one of the most important skills to learn for students with emotional disabilities.
My student were so excited when the boxes got delivered to our room! They already know how lucky we are to receive these donations and they couldn't wait to open them up! When they saw the new games and reward incentives, they could not contain the smiles on their faces. As a teacher, there is nothing that makes me feel better, than to see my students express genuine joy at times like this. Not only do these resources bring happiness to all of us, but they help make our classroom a more efficient place to learn!
We can't wait to get started on some new projects in our classroom. With springtime coming, we are going to use some of new resources to create projects (after the tests are over!) We can't thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to have these resources to use.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Martino

Funded Aug 17, 2015Thank you so much for all of the donations and support that I have received. My classroom literacy lounge has made such an impact on my student's reading abilities. My students rush to get in reading time whenever possible!
When my students first saw the new literacy lounge, they could not contain the excitement. Many of my students are reluctant readers and therefore do not spend a lot of time reading. When I explained the literacy lounge to my students and showed them the reading possibilities that they could get involved with, I could see a change in them right away.
Since we have got this project funded, I have seen the reading levels of my students improve greatly and it is all because of the donors from this website!”

Practice Through Printers!
Funded Aug 6, 2015Thank you so much for all of the donations that my classroom has received for this project! My classroom dynamic has changed drastically since we were able to have a classroom printer and supplies.
My students were more than excited to see that our classroom had a printer and ink to use in our daily lessons and work. With these new supplies, we are able to print up-to-date materials based on the student level whenever necessary. This helps differentiate materials for each student and therefore improves student levels across all academic subjects.
Our new printer also works with behavior management. My students, who have emotional disabilities, benefit from having a printer by being able to print incentives for them as well. My students have behavior management plans and are able to choose a coloring page that they want printed to work for at the beginning of the day and this will help them stay on task throughout the day.
These successful changes to my classroom would be impossible without the support from donors like all of you and I really cannot thank you enough.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Martino

Funded Nov 25, 2013Thank you so much for all of your donations! My students are so fortunate for all of that you that donated to recieve a projector for our classroom. It is with the help of people like you that make my role as a good educator more achievable.
We use the projector in our classroom on a daily basis. My class gets very excited everytime it is turned it on. We had to establish a classroom routine when we first recieved the projector. It is hard to stay away from the bright light and the "magic" picture that is projected, but once we set-up rules, the projector became a part of our daily activities.
The ELA and math curricululms that my school use both have interactive guides that follow along with the textbooks and the workbooks that we use. In addition to using these resources, the projector allows me to find many other sources to use with my students. Flocabulary and BrainPop are other interactive sites that stimulate learning with my student population. The projector boosts my teaching skills and student learning by keeping my students learning and making learning fun!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Martino
