We have 24 students in our class. Students with special needs and English as a Second Language learners are a part of our classroom family. In the summer, I open my classroom to 20 children with little or no preschool experience. The students learn the ins and outs of getting reading for kindergarten in a 3-week transitional class. We live in a rural area and a lot of our families work in the agricultural industry. We have a classroom garden where I promote learning (science, math, reading, and writing), working together and problem solving.
We share a community computer lab with the whole school. My class visits the computer lab once a week.
