Our school has around 67% of students receiving free and reduced lunch and is culturally diverse. In my classroom there are a variety of needs, I have students that receive ESOL, ESE, and remediation services. We have a Wellness Program that teaches our students to be healthy mind, body and soul. Our school teaches through the reading and writing workshop model. Our school also values character education, as we have character traits learned each month through quality literature. However, do to our county's budget cuts literature and other purchasing as been limited.
