Makerbot 3D Printer

I would like to send out a thank you for your donation to our school of the Maker Bot 3D printer. It has received great attention from staff, students, and our administration. We have placed it in a window of our CADD lab where lots of people will walk past it on a daily basis.

Students in our Civil Engineering and Architecture course have created homes that will be entered into a home design contest this April. We now have a long line of students waiting to print their design so when their plans are submitted, they will have a 3D model that will hopefully give them a leg up on competition. The printer has come in handy as well for allowing us to create Models in which we can show topics to our classes. Our math department is excited to have parts created to display math concepts to their students.

Our department has been looking at getting a 3D printer for quite some time. the cost of a printer has always held us back from the purchase because our budget was needed in other areas. Without your help we would have never been able to bring this device to our students. Thank you for your generous donation.”
