  • Supplies for Science

    Funded Apr 13, 2023

I want to thank you for generous donation to fill this project. The supplies will help my students understand how force and motion work. My students used the rolling friction cars to investigate how different surfaces can cause a car to slow down or speed up based on friction. My students used the friction cubes to investigate how friction can cause you use more or less force to move an object.

These supplies allowed my students to learn about the concept of force and motion through hands on activities because your help. They really enjoyed these activities.”

  • Brain Food for Tutorials

    Funded Dec 6, 2022

I want to thank you for your generous donation to this project. These snacks helped my students stay focused during our afterschool / Saturday tutorials. My students need to keep their energy up and many of them cannot afford to bring extra snacks to school these days so when the box arrived a lot of them were very excited and happy.

My students are always motivated by snacks so these snacks help provide that motivation and incentive to work hard on their assessments, stay after school and attend Saturday tutorials.”

  • Mobile Dry-Erase Easel for Success!

    Funded Dec 22, 2021

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give, toward Mobile Dry-Erase Easel for Success!! When the box containing the easel came to my room, my students already knew what it was before I opened it.

Having this mobile dry erase easel empowered my students to want to get up in front of the class and show their learning to the whole class. This easel was used for small group instruction since it was mobile. I was able to move all around the class. Students were able to use it to work in their own groups and teach other students.

Again, thank you for your donation. Our children's faces lit up when the supplies arrived!”

  • Anchor Charts for Learning

    Funded Nov 4, 2021

I want to take this time to let you know how thankful I am for your generous donations to this project. My students have started using the anchor charts to create their own learning posters in class. When the package was delivered, they immediate knew it was the anchor chart paper. The students have enjoyed being creative when creating the posters to share with their classmates. Many students have used the posters to help them study and use as a resource in class. The students like to share their knowledge by creating colorful, insightful classroom posters.”

  • S is for Science........and SUPPLIES

    Funded Aug 1, 2021

Thank you for your generous donations to fund my project " S is for Science and SUPPLIES." With your donations, I was able to create supplies bags for my students who were not financially able to purchase their supplies. When we had a welcome back activity, some students did not want to color because they did not have any markers or color pencils. I was able to give them the supplies they were missing or could not afford. These supplies will go along way this school year. I know my students are grateful for people like you, who help others.”

  • Can You See?

    Funded Mar 4, 2021

I want to thank you for your generous donations to fund my project " Can You See." The laser light box was a big hit with my students. They were able to see the different properties light has to offer. They were able to see how light reflects, refract, bends and travels in a straight line. Also we were able to make a rainbow appear without any water. They were real amazed by that. When it came time to review about the properties of light, they immediately referenced the lab we did with the laser box.

    Thank again for your donations.”

  • Printing Our Way During Distance Learning!

    Funded Nov 12, 2020

I want to thank you for your generous donation to my project " Printing Our Way Through Distance Learning." When the printer arrived the whole office staff was ecstatic! I have to admit I was too! There are so many ways that the printer has been used in the classroom. We got it all plugged in and ready to print and they were just dying to print in color! I printed some of the supplemental items for our stations and got them laminated and we started using them at once!

During this pandemic, some of my students have been having to share devices to complete their assignments. With this printer, I am able to print out paper copies of the assignments for those students who have limited access to electronic devices to complete their work. The impact that this printer has on our students is immense! I now am able to print awesome teacher made items that I have purchased to help enrich and intervene the learning that is going on in my classroom.”

My students come from a very low income area. They do not let their personal situations at home hinder their learning growth. My kids are a group of 100 5th graders, who are fighting the stereotype that society has placed on them. They come to class wanting to learn and have a goal to attend any middle school they choose to go to, not just the one they are zoned to. At my campus we have a saying " where the path to college begins'', this is what we teach our students. My campus teaches our students that no matter what your background is, we want you to strive for academic success and be the leader that you are.
