Let's Dry Those Paintings! (On a Drying Rack)
Funded Apr 26, 2007Thank you so much for contributing to the purchase of a new drying rack for my art room! I am writing this just after my seventh class of the day has left--paintings and collages sit all over the place in my room attempting to dry! I will be so relieved to have a nice drying rack to keep future artwork safe and organized. I am looking forward to doing even more painting, collage, and printmaking with my students now that I will have a place to store it all during the day. I know my students (K-5) will also appreciate your generosity as they paint to their heart's content”

Costumes On for Portrait Drawing! (Part Two)
Funded Apr 13, 2007Thank you so much for purchasing these costumes for my students to use while drawing portraits of each other. My young art students love imaginative play, and these costumes will help motivate them in their study of portrait drawing. I am looking forward to seeing my students experiment with various costumes and also look forward to seeing the resulting artwork! Thank you again for being generous enough to provide my students with this wonderful opportunity”

Costumes On for Portrait Drawing! (Part One)
Funded Apr 5, 2007Thank you so much for purchasing these costumes for my students. I am so excited to using them. I plan to do portrait drawing lessons with my students. Rembrandt in particular was an artist who liked to dress up his models, but costuming models is a very common practice and one that I know my students will enjoy for years to come. I think these costumes will also come in handy for putting on school plays. I really appreciate your generosity and will make sure that these costumes are used frequently”

Light boxes are a wonderful art tool that we would not otherwise be able to have. Thank you for your generosity”

Where In the World Is That? A Globe for the Art Room
Funded Oct 6, 2006Thank you so much for purchasing this globe for me to use with my students during art class. It is going to be great to be able to show students where artists and artwork are from. I know they are going to love the globe, since most of their classrooms do not have one. The tactile nature of the mountains and other landforms will make it an even better way for students to remember what they have learned. I really appreciate your generosity and I know my students will too”

Draw…Erase…Save a Tree in Art Class!
Funded Jun 16, 2006Thank you so much for purchasing the personal erasable whiteboards for my art class. These are going to be a great help in saving paper and having students feel comfortable starting a sketch. My students are always trying to write on my board, now they will have their own place to draw without wasting paper! I really appreciate your generosity, and I am sure my students will as well.
Sincerely,
Kelly ”

Check It Out! Art Supplies To Borrow And Return
Funded Jun 15, 2006Thank you very much for purchasing these materials for my art classroom. Many students in my school are unable to afford basic art materials to use at home, and these backpacks will give them the opportunity to make art at home instead of just once a week in art class. I know the students who will benefit from this will be thrilled to have this opportunity. Thank you so much for your kindness”
