Math in High School
Funded Jul 27, 2019Thank you very much for your generous donation to make math teaching and learning in my classroom more meaningful and less stressful. My students are very thankful and grateful for all the supplies they received. The colored paper and pens that they received helps them keep their notes in an orderly manner and easy to find in their binder. It also brings more cheer to the class with new supplies rather than working on white sheets and old pens. Students received the supplies with lot of cheer and thankfulness.”

I Can Learn Math!
Funded Dec 19, 2017Thank you for your thoughtful donations. My students are enjoying the supplies that we got through the donations and are utilizing them in class everyday.
Math is a subject that most students find very challenging and think that they would never use it in their real life, especially higher level math, which I teach. Sometimes it just takes a little innovative idea and lot of patience to help them see the merit in learning math.
I used the supplies to do meaningful projects in class, and show real life applications to my students.
I thank all the donors again for their generous donations.”

Funded Feb 24, 2016My students were extremely excited about all the new classroom supplies we got. There are new sets of color pencils, tape dispenser, colored pens to work and highlight key points in their notes. Students with special needs are really thankful for all the roller ball colored pens as it makes it easier for them to organize their work.
My students and myself would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous donations. Math can be really challenging for some students and this is just one way we can make it a little more interesting.”

Funded Apr 20, 2016I am extremely grateful for your generous gift for my class. It will help students stay interested in math and school. I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and gratitude for your donation to my project. It is great to see that you share my vision for children being successful in a well equipped classroom.
The tools that you have funded will enable students to have materials needed to be successful in my class. Calculators, Paper, color pencils, scissors are simple items but make learning so much more fun.
I can't wait to introduce these tools to the children. Thank you very much for your generous donation.”

Funded Mar 13, 2015My students were extremely excited about the new calculators in the classroom. It is no longer necessary for students to share calculators when we are exploring a concept in the classroom. On many occasions I have had students ask where the new calculators came from and listened to the students share their surprise at the generosity of your donation. Your amazing contribution to this project has made the learning environment much more accessible to all of my students.
The students' response to the new calculators was incredible. The first comments I heard were, "Where did the new cool calculators come from?" On that very same day another student said, "Hey, we have enough calculators for everyone!" The new calculators are considered the best calculators by the students in the classroom. Students rush to the calculator bag so that they can be the one to get one of the new calculators first. It is amazing what a hit these calculators have become.
The calculators are being used on a daily basis in the classroom. Each concept taught in Algebra II and calculus has a heavy calculator proportion. The students depend on the calculators as both a learning tool and for solving problems requiring complex calculations. With the addition of these calculators the students are able to do this on their own without having to share the resource with other students.
I cannot emphasize enough how essential it has been to the learning process for each student to be able to work with their own calculator. Each student gets an optimal amount of practice with the calculator without dividing their time with another student. My students have become far more competent with the features on the calculator because of the amount of calculators available in the classroom.”

I Dream In Color
Funded Dec 19, 2013My students were extremely excited about the new way they will arrange their notes for class. They were told from now on they will be given pink sheet to do daily math reviews and would put them in one section of their binders. Then they will work on another colored sheet to take notes on the new material taught and finally another color for their practice work. Working on colored paper was exciting to them as it was easy to rearrange their binders in a manner where they can find their notes all in one place. Your amazing contribution to this project has made the learning environment so much more exciting for my students.
The students' response to the new resources was incredible. They were excited about their colored pens and staplers. They were very happy to use their new state-of-the-art hole-puncher.”
