The school I have the privilege to teach at sits at the foothills of the highest point of our state in a small low income community. We are a lighthouse school for Leader in Me. I see my students going over and above to exhibit leadership qualities every day.They have self-confidence to achieve all they set out to do. Many that I teach may never have opportunities outside the classroom to be introduced to all that the world of music has to offer. They range from Pre-K through 5th grade so a wide variety of instruments and materials are needed to meet all needs. Students I teach seem to be excited about the opportunity to learn new ways to express their emotions. They also enjoy leaning about various cultures and how music has evolved through the years. Through instruments I have obtained in my travels and ones I have had the ability to buy, I am able to provide my classes with quality knowledge and education in these areas.
