I want to bring Science to life! The students will be learning about animals in their habitats. After learning about animal habitats they will research an animal of their choice. They will work in groups/teams to collaboratively create a catchy slogan for their animal based on the information they have learned in class about the animal they have chosen.
They will be able to create a slogan for a team shirt based on the information they have learned about their animal. First, the students will create a prototype using the cricut maker and the cricut pens. Once they have created their prototype, they will be able to cut the siser HTV (heat treated vinyl) to bring their creation to life. They will need cutting mats to hold the vinyl in place while the cricut cuts their slogan. Once their slogan is cut they will utilize the tools to "weed" the vinyl or take off the unnecessary, excess vinyl. The last step will be to get their shirts created by ironing their vinyl onto t-shirts. They will wear these shirts as they present their findings to the class.
