  • Paper for Reading Resources Needed!

    Funded Dec 2, 2022

I would like to thank you for supporting my classroom and donating to my "Paper for Reading Resources Needed!" project request! Our class is always in need of printing paper as we frequently run out of printing supplies because of the demand for reading and writing printed resources. Thank you for saving the school year!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. A.

  • Toner and Printer Needed!

    Funded Oct 14, 2022

Thank you for supporting my "Toner and Printer Needed!" project request! This beautiful Pantum TL-410H Black Toner with 3000 Page Yield printer and the extra cartridge of toner, will last a very long time. Thanks to your generosity, I will be able to print out and supply my students with unlimited resources needed for their success.”

  • Surface Pro Tablet Needed for Virtual Learning!

    Funded Apr 13, 2021

Thank you so much for funding my "Surface Pro Tablet Needed for Virtual Learning!" project request. Our reading and writing classes were in dire need of a portable tablet for when I travel from class to class.

The students are going to be so elated that they would no longer have to wait for me to load my lessons on the physical workstations, which would normally take away from their lesson time. The Surface Pro would have learning activities pre-loaded and ready to go! You have made their learning environment even more enhanced. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. A.

  • Printer and Camera Needed to Capture and Print!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for the color printer, digital camera, and extra ink! Not having a working printer for a while was pretty tasking and I was very limited in terms of providing materials for my students. Since we received the printer, my students have been able to print resources, assignments, and projects without restrictions. The camera has been used for documenting, research and beginning journalism. You have saved the day and the rest of the school year and for years to come for my students. We are eternally grateful.”

  • Keyboard and Protection Needed for Our Surface Pro

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for the surface pro protector and keyboard! My students and I are so happy that you donated and funded my "Keyboard and Protection Needed for Our Surface Pro" project. This request was part 3 of a huge project that was resubmitted several times and finally broken into smaller projects due to lack of funding. You have truly made my students' day as well as their school year, as having a protective case and keyboard for our classroom's Surface Pro allows my students to type and safeguard the tablet from accidents.”

  • Chromebook Needed for Our Writing Workshops! Part II.

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Again, I wish to sincerely thank you for making this project come through! My students and I are so happy that you donated and funded my "Chromebook Needed for Our Writing Workshops! Part II" project. This request was the second part of a huge project that was resubmitted several times and finally broken into smaller projects due to lack of funding. You have truly made my students' day as well as their school year, as having these Chromebooks allowed students to work on their reading and writing assignments independently.”

  • Chromebooks for Our Writing Workshops! Part I.

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for the awesome Chromebooks! In terms of updated technology, my classroom was in dire need and you saved the day. You have helped me furnish my classroom with workstations that were so desperately needed. I cannot thank you enough.

We now have several writing group centers using Chromebooks, which is very engaging, not to mention useful for our fourth and fifth-graders. Working with the Chromebooks in a productive way for research and exploration/discovery purposes is preparing our 5th-graders for middle school. Our students are learning how to effectively and efficiently rotate, how to work in a group as well as independently and how to conduct research online. None of these would have been possible if it were not for your generosity.”

    Funded Dec 7, 2017

Thank you so much for funding the Surface Pro request! Our reading and writing classes were in dire need of a portable tablet for when I travel from class to class.

The students are going to be so elated that they would no longer have to wait for me to load my lessons on the physical workstations, which would normally take away from their lesson time. • Help Our Tigers Get a Document Viewer & Bluetooth System!

    Funded Mar 10, 2016

Thank you so much for supporting my project that allowed my classroom to get a blue tooth player and document viewer. Because I am mobile-traveling from class to class to facilitate my students, the portability of the document reader has made my job so much easier, not to mention, efficient.

My students are now able to see their work up on the screen as well as their peers. They are more careful and aware of what and how they write as they are aware that it may be highlighted for their classmates to critique. There is a greater pride and work ethic when it comes to their approach to writing.

The Blue tooth player was a great blessing at it was utilized not only by me, but at all of our school-wide events. The ability to amplify from any blue tooth device was so convenient that everyone benefited from it-students and teachers alike.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. A.

My amazing 4th graders are eager and self-motivated little people who come to school daily with a driven desire to learn. Due to their parents economic status and the fact that they attend a Title I school where resources are limited, a love for reading is minimal and exposure to other forms of technology is nonexistent. Several of my students are ELL/ESOL whom were displaced during the earthquake in Haiti and relocated to South Florida creating barriers. Opportunities to select books, magazines, or any text they can get their hands on are encouraged. More than half of my students have no access to technology in their households, so their classroom is the only means of technology for educational interactive programs, research, and exploring. It is imperative my students engage in selected programs that will assist them in increasing their reading abilities daily, but due to the limited amount of computers within the classroom they aren't able to meet the requirement. They deserve it!
