Our kindergarten students will be introduced to the early stages of Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). By using inquiry and critical thinking, students will be read the STEM Stories Paperback Library to spark inquiry into different STEM lessons. They will use the class set of Print and Write White Boards to write and sketch different ways they will work on solving a STEM problem. Students will use the STEM Early Learning Kit to work on building different structures such as houses/shelters or bridges. Students will learn about sinking and floating by using the STEM Science Station - Sink and Float. They will also learn how to create a coaster and path for a marble run using the Stand-Up Magnetic Write & Wipe Center. All the STEM materials purchased will help students to engineer various ways they can build something to accomplish a task through hands-on manipulation. They will experience 21st century learning in kindergarten that will help them build a strong foundation for many years to come. They will experience what it means to be a builder by creating a strong structure to hold up a house or bridge.
