Like students everywhere, my students respond most to opportunities to explore the world first-hand. They also respond enthusiastically to opportunities to answer questions and to solve real problems that require them to think creatively and to work collaboratively with their peers. At this time, only 20-25% of our students are eligible for a four-year university experience upon graduation. Together, we are continuously developing meaningful learning activities that will allow students to discover and develop their academic and personal gifts. We hope to draw more students into considering satisfying careers and academic pursuits that will provide life-long opportunities for personal growth and positive contributions to the community. My students have so much potential! I'm privileged to know and work with them at such a pivotal stage in their lives.
