Our school is a "country school" on a rural island. Students come with little prior knowledge of art, museums, language or real world connections. My students are 33% English Language Learners. Many are new to the country from Pacific Island nations. We also have many struggling students. Our school is a Title 1 School, with over 85% free or reduced lunch. The students at our school need to develop language skills and have opportunities to express thoughts and ideas through images and art.
