  • Generous Classroom Wishlist

    Funded Sep 27, 2021

Thanks very much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students are proud users of the staplers. Formerly, we had staplers that was always sticking and annoying when students have to staple their work together. Now, its so easier to put together their work with the right tool.

My students were excited not only to see the post its and the paper but are are very happy using them to get their work done. We are happy for the staplers, they are very convenient for putting my students work on the bulletin board.

Our next steps is th continue using the materials when students are in their groups doing group work. Materials will be provided for each group eg; colored paper, staples, post its depending on the task they can also print their work and share with the rest of the class.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rookhum

  • STEM Classroom Basics

    Funded Sep 23, 2019

My students and I are very grateful for the support you have given to my clasroom. I have been using the pencils, erasers, and stickers as motivtional tools for students. They earned stickers for good effort, somthing they have special, and for producing good work in the classroom.

My students love the erase tops for their pencils. many times the erasers on their pencils have worn down and the erase tops serve as a replacement for their pencils. they also love the colors to choose their colors. The pencils have helped my students temendously. This writing tool gets worn out very quickly, and thanks again for making this supply available for the many students that comes to my clasroom.

Thanks for making my students happy when they needed the basic supplies to get their work neat and complete. Colors do get children motivted and having them to get their choices for the simple things are amazing.

    Once again, thank you.”

  • 3D Printing - STEAM / STEM

    Funded Jan 12, 2017

I truly appreciate the support you have given to my Science Lab with the 3D printer and filaments. Over the years I have strive to introduce my students to technology that they can use and benefit in their years ahead. We havve been using the printer with our Grades 5 students.

Students are amazed to create a project and get a tabgible end product. Our students were amazed to see a 3D object design and printed and the end product is something they can hold and be proud off. An objet they can be proud off. Something they can create from scratch.

Once again, I want to thank all my donors who have supported my science lab, and getting my students to be involved in technology and science.”

    With gratitude,

  • STEM! STEM! Robotics!

    Funded Dec 31, 2016

With great pleasure I am writng to let you know that the We Do 2.0 was a tremendous help to get my students started with robotics. We have used the kits as a starter kits to begin robotics in my classroom . The students have enjoyed this sessions. It was the very first time our kids were introuced to robotics. To see the kids engaged building robots were indeed an amazing time they will treasure in their life time.

Due to curriculum constraints we had to use the kits in our After School Program. However it capture their attention and help them to develp an interest in robotics and technology. It help them see that technolgy is more than playing games on the computer but can take them further in life.

This project has created interets in my students who have now taken robotics to a further level.

Once again, I want to thank all my donors who have supported my students when they needed help in that moment.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rookhum

  • Classroom Basics Supplies

    Funded Apr 4, 2017

My students are enjoying using this new resource. We have been using the papers for our classroom projects.

I have done a bulletin board piece using the materials. I have created questions for my students and then made a booklet for my students final piece for the bulletin board. Students were excited with this new paper; white and clean as compared to the other color.

When I open the boxes with the paper my students were amazed to see how many papers we have and we don't have to keep asking for papers where we only got less than a ream and it finishes very fast. We were very comfortable for a few months with enough of this resource that helps us get through most of our assignments.

My next steps for the project is to have my students create and design their own scrap book.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rookhum

  • Color Printer For Science Lab

    Funded Jan 8, 2014

My students were excited about their new color printer. This resource helped them to see images clearly so that they were able to make connections in their daily lives. This resource has modern features which capture their attention and made them excited to work with. With this printer they were able to print directly from their i pads.

My students use i pads in the lab so it made a match to their available technology. They were able to do research and add colorful pictures onto their assignment to enhance their work I was able to create many of their worksheets in color so that I can maintain their interest on the topic we were doing in class. I was able to create a bulletin board using students work from the printer, and a banner for the bulletin board in color.

Finally I will continue to enhance the students work in my classroom using my new color printer.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rookhum

STEM CLUB - Robotics. My students need Robotics Kits. I am a Science Cluster teacher and I see Pre-K through Fifth Grade . My students are really engaged and motivated in the many hands on activities in the STEM Lab. Presently, I am teaching a Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade After School STEM club. I would like to introduce my students to Robotics. My students need activities to build their confidence through participation and team work. Robotics in STEM Club will engaged students in designing and building their own robots enhancing their knowledge of Math, Science, Technology, hence developing their problem solving and critical thinking skills. Designing robots will give my students the oppotunity to learn how to apply scientific principles to real life situation. My students need activities to move them into 21st century skills. Please help my students get there by giving generously towards Robotics kits.
