My students are exceptional! If you could see their shining smiles and eagerness to learn, you would agree. They deserve equal access to the tools that will enhance their learning process. They receive services based on their Individualized Educational Programs (IEP's) that identify their strengths, weaknesses and specific goals. They put ABILITY into the word "disability". Their special education Resource classes are designed to facilitate equal access to the Common Core curriculum. I have 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in my Resource Math classes (total of 27 students at present). My school is located in a high poverty neighborhood. It is classified as highly impacted (Title 1) with every child receiving a free breakfast and lunch.
