Laminating Monster
Funded Jul 8, 2014Even though my students aren't familiar with what laminating pouches are directly they are very aware that whenever I put paper through my silver machine that the next day they come to school that they will have a new learning center available to them. It always puts a smile on my face to see my students excited and eager to learn with my teacher created centers.
The students are using the resources in the form of hands-on manipulates in centers. The students are in centers for a total of one hour daily so I am always trying my hardest to keep the centers to match the curriculum and also to keep my students engaged and challenged. With that being said, these centers get changed out very often.
This project has helped me and my students immensely and I cannot say thank you enough. We will continue to learn with all the hands on manipulative's to get to our long-term goals. The materials allow my students to work independently but also allow them time to reinforce all the skills that I have taught throughout the week. Thanks again!”

Classroom Resources Help!
Funded Jul 5, 2014My students were absolutely stoked about these new resources. It is such an incredible sight to see the look a student's face when they see new learning materials and how they can be so fun but yet help them learn in so many aspects as well.
With these resources we have improved many centers. This includes our writing center, reading center, listening center, and my teacher directed center. With all these centers running more smoothly, the whole day is paced to where the students receive more academic learning without interruptions.
This project helped my teaching and my student's learning because they have more materials available to them to help them learn. They also have a designated area where everything belongs and structure was exactly what this class and all the classes to come needed.”

iPad to Enhance Student Learning
Funded Feb 28, 2014My project has been funded, and my students and I are all extremely excited! With your support, we will be able to turn my class into a more engaging place, where the students will be able to get their hands on some of the more interesting technology aspects of learning, instead of them being done as a teacher demonstration. I am confident that this will increase interest, and thus understanding especially at the beginning of they year!
This funding has come right on time, at the beginning of next year we will be losing some of our intervention staff so the help of the IPAD will help aid in learning letters, letter sounds, and numbers. Looking ahead at my lessons for the coming months, I will be able to use the IPAD in an exciting and appropriate way to fuel student learning and achievement.
One more time, thanks so much! Many thanks for funding my IPAD for student learning project for my Kindergarten class. As the times are changing, there is a big emphasis for our students to have a technology rich education.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Halaris
