  • Circular Saw To Help Students With Special Needs Learn Woodworking

    Funded Jan 15, 2025

Your donation of this circular saw will impact our program so greatly. The purpose of this program is to teach students with disabilities how to work in different occupations. Students will learn how to use this saw safely, how to change the blade, and how to make different cuts for various purposes. Students now have an additional tool that they can familiarize themselves with and learn how to use. Thus making each student more marketable in the job place. Thank you for always believing in our students here at Willenberg. Your generous donation touched many hearts.”

  • Table Saw to Help Teach Students With Special Needs Woodworking

    Funded Jan 15, 2025

Thank you for this amazing tool to be added to our classroom. This table saw will help us to maneuver in and outside of the classroom with ease. This is especially valuable to offering access to all students who may have some physical limitations, This awesome tool will help us to make straight and precise cuts when building different structures for the school garden. Additionally, students will have the ability to safely learn how to operate and maintain different tools found within a workshop. Our students are so lucky to have an amazing community member who is always willing to support them. I am very much appreciative of all your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Waybright

  • Miter Saw For Students With Special Needs

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

I would like to take the time to say thank you for this generous donation. The students in our classroom had been using the old tools that I donated from home. Our cuts were never quite perfect, because the saw that we used was not square. This donation will teach students who to make precision cuts and assemble different pieces of wood to create fun projects. Our students are learning how to cut mitered corners and build picture frames. This wonderful contribution to our program has made the biggest impact on our ability to measure twice and only cut once. Thank you for all the support that you have shown to my classroom and to the wonderful students of Willenberg.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Waybright

The students will be able to work at a much faster pace and with much more comfort. This donation touches the hearts of many different students who have chosen to work in our lovely school garden. Thank you so very much again.”

  • Hydroponic Growing System for Learning Garden

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

Thank you very much for your generous donation. Our students have had the opportunity to learn a new way to grow veggies. With this new system comes the opportunity to learn new classroom roles and jobs. For example, the students are responsible for checking the ph of the nutrient solution to make sure our plants are within the optimal range. Students have been able to carry these simple practices over to their home life by creating their own green spaces. This donation has inspired this class to teach students how to grow plants in water rather than soil.

Your donation has added so much value to our program and will forever be thankful for the generosity you have shown us here at Willenberg. If ever you would like to come to visit, our students would love to take you on a tour of both our garden and the school.

Thank you so so so very much,

    With love

  • Adaptive Leaf Blower For Students With Special Needs

    Funded Dec 4, 2022

I would like to start by thanking you from the bottom of my heart. Your generosity is beyond kind. The support you have shown our program over the last couple of years is invaluable.

These leaf blowers have already made each student in my class smile. Each student was excited to try on the blower backpack and actually use it. One student suggested that he was a ghostbuster and the rest all laughed, but then begged to have a chance to be a Ghostbuster. Many of our students have never had the opportunity to use a tool like this so thanks you for providing them with this experience.

We have been renovating our garden and have put down over 50,000 pounds of gravel so far. This gravel will help our students with mobility challenges to safely transition throughout our garden. These leaf blowers are the most perfect tool to help keep our gravel clean and pretty. By providing these tools, students in my class will get the opportunity to learn a new way to tend a garden.

The thoughtfulness and support you have shown our students at Willenberg will forever be remembered.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Waybright

  • Bring Vegetables from Garden to the Table With a Juicer

    Funded Oct 25, 2019

Thank you for supporting the wonderful students in my classroom. We will incorporate various skills when using this juicer. Students will learn about how to prepare the different let fruits and vegetables so that they can be juiced. Most importantly, our students will learn that vegetables taste super good, though tasting different delicious juices. I am so happy that I can start offering my students these opportunities.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Waybright

My students are in a kindergarten through second grade moderate to severe disabilities class They are in a self-contained classroom within the general education setting. Although each student is different, they all have similar levels of functioning. My students require much modeling, visual and auditory cues, and behavior intervention. The daily routine and picture schedule is what drives the class. The school is located in a low income area of Class Angele's and is in no position to offer any type of financial assistance to a new teacher.
