  • Hands-On Earth Day Learning!

    Funded Apr 16, 2025

Thank you so much for my Earth Day supplies! I want to celebrate this day with each grade level, and now I can. From design challenge bird feeders, to planting beans, everyone will get to help our planet one way or another. This would not be possible without generous donors like you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mishima-Donahue

  • STEAM and Period Refills

    Funded Feb 21, 2025

Thank you for allowing me to support my students. Adolescence is such a hard transition time for students. My girls really don't like walking all over campus with their pads exposed for everyone to see. They're already self conscious as it is when they're not on their period. It's actually become a thing now where there's always a couple of girls wearing the pad bags around with them so when they do need them for their period no one will ever know if the items inside have changed from squishies to pads. Now, when the other girls bring theirs out, the boys just think, they have one of those bags too? Haha!”

  • Pad Disposal Bags and Covers

    Funded Apr 10, 2025

Thank you for helping my girls get the pad disposal bags they’ve been asking for. Having periods are already embarrassing for young girls, they don’t want to carry their used items out in their hands. Plus, this was their personal request.

I know the candy will be an amazing treat for them!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mishima-Donahue

  • Take a Look, It’s in a Book!

    Funded Apr 9, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my students! I can’t wait for these books to come in. They have a few more weeks on this PBL and have been wanting these new books so I hope they make it here on time to make an impact on their final research!”

  • Winter Makerspace Snowman Fun

    Funded Dec 24, 2024

These snowman kits were a huge hit! I wasn't sure if my sixth graders would think they were too babyish for them, but even they were excited to incorporate them into their STEAM challenges. They had a lot of fun deciding if their snowmen would have two balls or three, and what it would look like.

Every students benefitted by exercising their fine motor skills. My littles were happy to make to balls stacked on top. With all of the buttons and eyes where they intended them to be.

The part that made this activity the most fun was them finding out they got to keep them! They didn't want to put them away but all was better when they were on the way out the door with kits in hand.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Mishima-Donahue

  • Refreshing Water

    Funded Jan 26, 2025

Thank you for helping my students with our water dispenser. Our floor has the extremely old water fountains that aren't cold, filtered, or bottle fillers. My students ask if they can walk to the other building, or upstairs to drink water. This takes my students at least 5-10 minutes of instructional time, so this new water dispenser has come in so handy in saving time. This water is cold, and filtered.

My after school robotics team also uses the hot water feature to make their instant noodles as an after school snack before practice starts. They prefer that to microwaving their noodles. They say it keeps the noodles from getting soggy. Either way, My students are getting their water.

The lanterns came out great! They were amazed they could see their tea light come through the tracing paper. Many students are still learning that time is a major constraint to consider when in the planning phase of the design process.

Thank you for making this project possible.”

  • New Beginnings With the Lunar New Year

    Funded Jan 22, 2025

My students had a blast making their Lunar New Year bracelets. They all made the connection between many cultures receiving something or buying something new to start the year in order to bring good luck or prosperity. They had fun making their own bracelets and choosing which beads they'd use and which colors they'd make as take home bags for their families.

They were also thankful for the replenishment of STEAM supplies since we go through so many supplies with all of our hands-on activities daily, from making models with blocks and Play-Doh, to engineering with paper, tubes, and other consumable materials.

Thank you for making this all possible.”

  • Let's Keep it Clean

    Funded Mar 31, 2025

Thank you so much for helping my 5th graders keep our campus and community clean! I can’t wait to see how their PBL service projects turn out. They’ve been working really hard to plan and organize how their clean up days, competitions, and PSAs will roll out. Thank you for making this possible.”

  • Personalized Curriculum for Students

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

Thank you so much for your generosity! I'm so excited to be able to search for hands-on STEAM lessons to support what I'm teaching in my classroom. My personal favorites are the ones that are editable so I can make them my own. Thank you again for allowing me to not have to reinvent the wheel and save precious time after school hours.”

I teach K-6 STEAM at a school were almost 90% of the students have financial needs. In my role, I teach all of the students on my campus, one grade level each day. Many of my students come to school lack many basic necessities. This means, not only are my students coming to school lacking basic necessities, they also have a variety of specific needs that must be met to help them get the best education. Despite this, they love coming to school and look forward to each new learning opportunity with me. I believe that every child has the opportunity to become anything they want and they should have big dreams for themselves. I am working to build a strong foundation for my students so they may reach any goal they set. Creating an organized, hands-on, classroom will allow me to provide the best learning environment and opportunity I can for my students.
