Call to Action With Cricut
Funded May 11, 2023Thank you so much for your donation. This project has had a tremendous impact on our fourth graders. When they saw the Cricut they were all so excited. Some of them already knew what it was because they said their moms or other family members had one but they weren't allowed to use it. When I told them that they would get to use it their eyes lit up.
Our scholars designed their own logos for a podcast that they had created on the Industrial Revolution and its effect on climate change. Scholars came up with a podcast name and logo and then were able to print it and then cut it with the Cricut. They shared them with their teachers, the principal and their families. Thank you so much.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022This project has helped our classroom in so many ways. The class set of books allowed the kids to really dive into our read aloud. They followed along as we were reading and were able to find great text evidence to support their ideas. The magazines have been used for small group work in both math and ELA. They are able to read great non-fiction articles and see articles written by kids their own age.
They keep the kids engaged throughout the lessons and allow them to learn about things they normally may not have.”

Funded Feb 1, 2022Thank you so much for your donation. The kids love using all of the new materials. They are more comfortable on the cushions during small group work and they are so happy that they have something to lean on with the lap desks. The laptop has helped us to integrate videos and pictures into many of our lessons. The easel lets us transport our learning to wherever works best for the students. The dry erase number lines have helped us bring our understanding of fractions and decimals to life. Thank you again.”

Two Screens For Learning
Funded Nov 30, 2020The 2 screens for learning has made a great impact on our virtual classroom. It has made the transition to virtual learning easier for the teachers because we are able to share our screen for work purposes, which is vital in online learning, while simultaneously watching our students. This allows us to monitor them and the work at the same time. Prior to having the second screen it was a struggle because we weren't sure if the students were able to see our screen and there were a lot of interruptions with students calling out saying they can't see us or the screen. It has improved the overall flow of our online class.”

Funded Jan 3, 2014I would like to take the time to thank you again for your donation. This project has had such a wonderful impact on my classroom. I put it into use on a small scale this year, and I can't wait to use it more often next year. Once the package came, the students were very excited and they wanted to use everything right away. I work in two different classrooms and I was able to use the technology in small groups across both rooms.
Students who have processing disorders are now able to listen to stories over and over again so that they can better understand what they are reading. I have also used the headphones to put students on books on tape so that they can read along and listen. When doing it this way, I saw one boy take more notes in one session than he did all year long.
We use the adapter and the extra headphones to watch videos in math and social studies in small groups, and the blue-tooth speaker also allows for the same. We are able to reach and help more children in the same period of time than we used to. I look forward to continuing to use these products to help all of my future students. Thank you again.”
