With One Easel We Can... Read, Write and Share Together!
Funded Aug 4, 2023Thank you so much for your generous support to my classroom and students! I am excited to meet my next set of students later this month and help nourish their love of learning! Your support with the magnetic white boards will go a long way in the 'hands-on' learning that my students want and need.
So, thank you once again!”

Learning Games for Super Readers
Funded Oct 14, 2022Thank you so much for your donation to my 'Super Readers' project. We'll be making literacy games to engage all of our readers. I have a huge passion for teaching reading and this donation is going to ensure that my students feel that same passion! Thank you so much!”

Ms. Davis
Learning in the Digital World
Funded Sep 17, 2020Thank you so much for supporting my classroom during this challenging Covid-19 year.
In our district, many changes were made that made it impossible to teach and learn in our usual manner.
In kindergarten, our students always share their learning supplies. This year students were not permitted to share supplies because of the pandemic. I ordered colored tubs for each of the students.
Students were able to store their crayons, glue, scissors , etc., in their tubs along with all of their reading and math supplies. The tubs made organization for this classroom so much easier. In fact, I will probably keep this programs in effect in the coming years!
Once again, donors have helped in the education of our youth. You are truly appreciated and cherished for what you give.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Davis

Funded May 13, 2019Thank you so much for supporting my students! The STEM toys that we received have been used repeatedly every morning by my kindergarten students this whole year!
The STEM toys give my students the opportunity to be 'engineers' for thirty minutes every morning! I have always held the belief that students learn best thru play and these toys have proved this to be true. I have watched my students imagination skyrocket this year and I attribute most of this to their new toys.
My students feel successful as engineers and this, in turn, makes them feel successful in all of the academic areas.
Thank you once again for supporting primary education. My students could not be more grateful, as am I!”

Funded Sep 3, 2017Thank you so much for the composting worm bins and our new seating rug!!!
I teach a K/1 combo class and this rug has been a God send. Students at this age need a sense of place and the 26 alphabet animals rug gives each child their own space. This makes it easier for us to concentrate and do our 'turn and talk' activities!
The students have learned so much about composting with our worm bins. They feed and investigate(and play) with the worms just about every day! We have read the book, Worms Eat My Garbage, and I am sure that the students are ready to start their own worm farms at home this summer.
I am so grateful for your generosity to me and my students!”

Funded Nov 8, 2016Thank you so much for the rain coats for our kindergarten scientists! We are developing a 'forest school' for our students. We hope that our students will be able to go outside in the woods everyday, rain or shine! These raincoats will insure that all of our students will be comfortable in the rain and in the woods!
In the attached photos our students were making scientific drawings of how the plants and trees are changing from week to week. It is early May here and the trees are just getting their buds. They were making great observations and their drawings have become more detailed every week.
Thank you for making this project possible!”

The Power of Play
Funded Oct 21, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Our students were thrilled to see the new puzzles, magnets, play dough and clay tools.
We use the play dough and tools in our kindergarten math and literacy centers just about every week. Many students learn best through tactile stimulation (especially boys).
The students love to share their puzzles with their 3rd grade buddies. It is wonderful to see the team work between the two grade levels as they persevere to put the puzzles together!
And lastly, our students were able to feel the sense of joy when giving back. We have a new classroom in our kindergarten wing. The new classroom did not have very many toys. The students agreed that it would be nice if we could give that classroom some of our new magnets and play dough. They felt very proud.”

Future Scientists in the Making
Funded Nov 4, 2014Thank you so much for the generous donation to my kindergarten classroom! Our students love the non-fiction books about wild animals, snakes, frogs, trains, planes and plants! These students do not have a lot of opportunities to have real life experiences outside of their own neighborhood so these books have really opened their eyes to the world.
Our classroom will be using these books in our Writer's Workshop every morning. We have studied bats, frogs, and whales so far. I have attached some samples of their writing that they did with our frog lessons. I think you will be impressed with what a kindergarten student can write. Students at this age are still using sound spelling and it is always fun to decipher what they are trying to write. The students love looking at the books during Writer's Workshop. I have noticed lately that they also choose to look at these non-fiction books during their 'free-choice' time!
Having the opportunity to have these books in our classroom has given our students the opportunity to explore our world. As I stated earlier, many of our students never leave their neighborhood so it is fascinating to watch them be so excited about learning! The snow will be melting soon and we will be heading outside soon to look for evidence of birds and animals that are in the woods behind our school. Thank you again for your generous donation to our classroom and to schools everywhere.”

Ms. Davis
