This novel has moved my previous classes with experiences on a more personable level. These copies will reach over 100 students and allow students to expand on their reading and comprehension skills. I currently have resources for the novel, which breaks down for every standard. There are extension activities that integrates Social Studies within the reading. This novel will allow students to learn about various cultures, through different perspectives. Students who have read this story before have made connections and I want to bring that to my new students. This novel is a great way to allow students who are below grade level to keep pace with those students who are well above grade level. The differentiation that can be made will benefit ALL students.
