  • Equal Access To All Mathematicians

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

My students are very excited and have gained a lot of knowledge with this iPad. They are using several virtual resources that are a great way to learn by giving my students automatic feedback and tutorial videos that they really need in order to be successful in my class. Many of my students do not have access to this iPad unless I provide it to them. My students and myself hereby thank you and want you to know that this iPad is allowing them to be successful in my class and learn their mathematics with the latest state of the art technology.”

  • Mastering Mathematics Through Innovation

    Funded Oct 16, 2019

My students and I appreciate your donation from the bottom of our hearts. This product is so exciting to my students. They work on educational software, solving mathematics problems and playing games for fluency with excitement and engaged. They strive to get their answers correct and move on to other tasks.

When taking assessments online, they get automatic feedback as to whether they answered the problem correctly or not. This feedback is essential to students so that they know if they are using the correct procedures and if their thinking is correct or not and know how to correct it before proceeding to the next task.

Some of my students who have always felt that they are just "not good in math" have especially warmed to this technology as they play for fluency and get a green light to move on once they achieve proficiency in a particular topic.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bertot

I can't express the joy I feel having this laptop, which is so useful in my classroom. My students are very excited and enjoy working with it as they learn math. This tool allows my students to learn math like they never have before. The use of this resource allows them to engage in a way they thought they would never see math. As they work on math problems, they are able to get automatic feedback, look up real time data and use resources that are only available through the use of this technology. These students are working in groups as well as individually.

From the bottom of my heard my students and I thank you for giving this tool to them as many of them see math in the classroom from a different point of view. I can see they are engaged and learning.”

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students are enjoying doing mathematics using this wonderful tool. By the use of this laptop they can access interactive websites that assist them in learning mathematics in a way that no other tool can do. They can work on mathematics problems and get feed back as to whether the answer is correct of not and learn from his/her mistakes on the spot as they solve rigorous math problems.

My students find excitement in using the computer rather than a regular book to learn math. Some of these students do not have access to a computer at home and are very excited to learn math by the use of this laptop.

I have students with learning disabilities and well as students with language barriers that can benefit from differentiated instruction that this laptop can offer. They work on websites that offer individualized instruction depending on their needs. This laptop allows them to work on math and learn math like never before, engaging them with the great resources available by its use.”

Some of these students do not have access to a computer at home and they can now use all these mathematics websites and help them be engaged and excited to do mathematics. This laptop is vibrant in color and makes graphs, pictures and everything in general look vibrant and help them visually learn.

There are students that have warmed to this new technology given that they do not have access to it at home. They enjoy doing their math and learning their math using the laptop, rather than using a book, which is what they have at home. • Engaging Math Tech

    Funded Dec 5, 2013

I can't express my joy. I and my students thank you for your donation. My students are very excited and could not believe that they were going to be able to use tablets in the classroom. They get excited to use them and ask me all the time if they are going to use it again. Some of these students do not have computers at home and have expressed how excited they are to use them here.

We use the tablets in class to look at tutorials such as Algebra Nation and Riverdeep. These are two, among other websites that are educational. Some times students use them individually and some times they share as a group. I have them look at tutorials and answer problems as they go long.

This project has engaged my students in learning and their attitude in my class has changed for the better. They are excited and motivated and it is evident that they understand the material after doing tutorials and using tables much better than before.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bertot

Technology is advancing daily and there are great interactive websites that these students can benefit from. The lack of the important technology has gotten in the way of their learning mathematics in an exciting, meaningful way. By using the Internet in the classroom, I can individualize these students' needs and get them to succeed in math.
