Messy, Happy, Comfortable, and Lots of thinking! These are the four phrases I want my students to feel when they come to Science class. I teach departmental Science to 7th and 8th-grade students in a low-income area for Chicago Public Schools. Science should be messy and engage students, and that causes them to think about the world truly are us and how science can help us to better care for the world and future generations. One of our favorite ways to work is together in our class. We love to work on experiments that let us dive deeper into what we are learning about!
