My students are bright, inquisitive, talkative, and very creative. They love learning by doing, especially when the doing includes art. We are a small charter school with only one class per grade. Our school teaches the Common Core and the Core Knowledge curriculums. In a country that keeps cutting back funding for the arts, we believe that the arts are critical to a students academic joy and progress. That's why I use art throughout my curriculum.
