Hands-On Math
Funded Dec 19, 2022First, we would like to thank you so much for your generous donation. The money you have donated has gone to purchase a Teachers Pay Teachers $100 gift card. Teachers Pay Teachers is a fantastic website that allow fellow educators to sell curriculum resources and materials. I use this to website to help supplement my curriculum and gather resources for all my different levels of learners.
This particular gift card helped me purchase hands on materials for our fraction unit. We were able to purchase real world resources to help my students gain a clearer understanding.
These materials were super helpful for my students with disabilities and students learning other languages. We thank you so much!”

Collaborative Spaces
Funded Mar 24, 2022When I carried the box containing our new additions into the classroom, my students squealed. They immediately started to yell out possible surprises of what could be in the box. When I pulled out the stools, they cheered. I had 20 students running up to me asking if they could have a turn trying out our new materials.
Since that day, our new stools have been put to great use. Children use these materials to work together, read, and complete classroom assignments. Studies have shown that students work best when they are comfortable and have choice; and these stools provide exactly those two things. They get so much more done in these flexible seating arrangements than seated at their hard, uncomfortable desks.
We appreciate your support of our classroom. These stools will be used by students for the years to come. Thank you again!”
With gratitude,

Hands on Math, but Digital!
Funded Dec 14, 2020I cannot thank you enough for your donation. I am still in disbelief that the project was funded so quickly. I am so grateful for your generosity.
This gift card has allowed me to purchase hands on, interactive materials that go beyond a typical worksheet. For example, I was able to purchase a division activity that allowed students to use virtual manipulatives to demonstrate the concept of division. Normally, I would use actual manipulatives, but remote learning and COVID protocols have prevented me from doing so this year.
Additionally, I have purchased fun math review games that we will use throughout the rest of the year. The kids are going to LOVE this format of review and are so excited already. Even my most reluctant learners have expressed interest in this activity.
Finally, I can use the remainder of the gift card for other hands on activities for other concepts through the year. Our next unit is fractions, so hands-on virtual activities will definitely come in handy!
Again, thank you so much!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Zirbes
