Triumphs on Three Wheels
Funded Jan 18, 2024Thanks to your support, we have successfully fundraised for a new bicycle equipped with specialized attachments, including a harness and a guiding handlebar. These attachments are not just mere additions; they are pathways to empowerment and inclusion for students who may face physical or mobility challenges. Your donation has helped us break down barriers and ensure that every student feels valued, included, and able to participate fully in our biking unit.
Imagine the joy and excitement on the faces of these students as they experience the thrill of riding a bicycle. Your contribution has provided them with more than just a means of physical activity; it has given them a sense of independence, confidence, and belonging. With this new equipment, they can now join their peers in cycling activities, fostering friendships, teamwork, and a sense of camaraderie that transcends any physical limitations. When we asked a few students to ride our new bike to test it out, they were immediately filled with joy and excitement.
Your kindness and generosity have truly made a difference, not only in the lives of these students but also in our entire school community. Your support exemplifies the power of compassion and the profound impact it can have on the lives of others. We are immensely grateful for your belief in our mission and your willingness to invest in the potential of every student.
As we look forward to our biking unit in the Fall, we do so with renewed enthusiasm and gratitude, knowing that thanks to you, more students will have the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Your generosity has paved the way for a brighter, more inclusive future, and for that, we cannot thank you enough.
With sincere appreciation,
Lexi and Florrie

Funded Feb 28, 2019I just want to say a big THANK YOU for donating so we could get our special adaptive bicycle. My students are so excited. It was so much fun to see their faces when I brought out the new green bike. Many of my students can not ride on a bike without adaptations. This bike allows many of my students to participate with all their classmates whereas before they could not ride. It meets so many needs. They can exercise and have fun at the same time. They can participate in the activity just like the rest of their classmates. Thank you for making this happen.”

Funded May 13, 2019I want to Thank you so much for helping me purchase our two new trampolines. I only wish you could have seen my students faces when they saw the new trampolines. No duck tape and they bounce!
These two new trampolines are used in our circuit training unit where we work on loco-motor skills, object control skills and balance. We have the two trampolines in the rotation everyday so they are heavily used. Having the handle on the trampoline really helps because the kids can be a little more independent. I think this is one of their favorite stations in the circuit.
Thank you so much for helping my students be successful and have fun while doing it.”

Funded Feb 16, 2018Our bicycle program reaches a wide range of abilities. We have kids who ride tricycles, bikes with training wheels, burly cruisers (which are adult three wheel trikes), adult three wheel bikes and two wheel bikes. We have the bicycle program so the students can ride bikes for fun, for exercise, recreation or for transportation as they get older. I want to say THANK YOU so much for helping me get my project funded. We are so excited about getting brand new two wheel bicycles. Most of our bikes have been hand me downs which is great but they have seen better days. Also we have 10 students that have just learned how to ride a two wheel bicycle this year. Now with these new bikes everyone can ride at the same time. My students are so excited. They love the fun colors and style of our new bikes. This program helps my students be successful. Thank you again for helping my students have fun and be successful.”

Funded Mar 29, 2017I want to say Thank You so much for making my project come true. I run a bicycle program that includes kids from age 5 to 22 years old with all different challenges. The program is set up to let all of my students have success. The new bicycle that you helped us purchase will make this happen.
I wish you all could have seen the students eyes when they saw our new bicycle. The kids that get to ride it are sooooo excited and their friends are very excited to have their company in our riding area.
As you can see in the pictures the bicycle allows the students who have big balance issues to manipulate the bicycle independently or with minimal adult help. This was not possible before we got this bicycle. It allows the student to ride with their peers and learn basic safety riding skills.”

Funded Nov 3, 2015I would like to say a Big THANK YOU for donating the new bowling carpet lanes, the bowling ball and the bowling back stops. Don't you know it turned my students heads the first day my students walked into the MP room to see the new equipment. All my students cheered for the new bowling carpet lanes. The old ones were falling apart so the new ones were greatly needed.
The bowling backstops are a new piece of equipment. They are a cool feature added to our game. They help keep the ball contained so the students can spend more time bowling.
The new bowling ball is another great addition. It is lighter weight so the smaller students can have an easier time bowling. It is just like a regular ball but it is light weight which helps them be successful.
Bowling is one recreational activity my students can participate in and be successful and have a lot of fun. Thank you for donating to my project.”

Special Needs Cruisers
Funded Feb 19, 2015Our two new Burly Cruiser Bicycles have arrived and they are even better then we thought they would be. These two new bicycles are from a new company so they are a little different then the ones we already have. These two bicycles are a little bigger then our small burly's and smaller then our large burly's which is perfect because they will fit my in between kids.
I wish you could have been here when I put them together. My students watched me as I assembled them. They could hardly wait until I was finished. I have had them outside our MP room so I can size some of my student to the bicycles when my principal came along and jumped right on one. She proceeded to race with one of my classes that was practicing the 50 yard dash on the track. The kids and my principle had a blast.
As you can see from the pictures these bicycles are a perfect fit for my students. I have such a wide range of ages and size students. These two bicycles help fill that size variety. They allow my students to participate in our bicycle program where they learn how to ride safely with friends, get exercise and have fun. With all the different size and shape bicycles it allows all my students to participate in our riding program.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me make a great program for my students.”
