  • Cozy Comfort Zone

    Funded Sep 17, 2024

Thank you so much for funding our Cozy Comfort Zone project. Your contribution will help me, help my students. Sometimes the simple things are what make a difference! A sticker, a snack, some arts and crafts are little things that can help a teen deal with life's struggles a little better.

Thank you and have a Stingtastic Day!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Armas

  • Stings Got Game

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Through your generous donations, this project is STILL impacting students. We take out the giant games regularly for the students to use during our lunch times. They are interacting more and making amazing memories! Students are getting off their phones and talking to one another. They are helping each other and also promoting a little healthy competition! The giant games also make it accessible to all the students.

Thank you once again for making a difference in the lives of our high schoolers, who sometimes forget they are still kids!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Armas

  • Our Resourceful Resource Class

    Funded Dec 18, 2015

Thank you once again for your generous donation. We had a bit of a delay in receiving some of the items, but we are on a roll now. The kids are loving "their" tablets. They have been exploring new kid sites and they love taking pictures of each other. The laminating machine has been an incredible asset. We are now able to preserve many of the learning games and manipulative that we make in class. One of the students' favorite item are the calculators. They love checking their own work and and solving "hard" problems. All these items may seem very simple but their impact is great. From my students and myself...THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Armas

  • Look at me ELMO: A More Visible Lesson

    Funded Nov 5, 2013

Words can not express how truly grateful we are for your donations. My students are now able to follow along the lessons. We can read a story together even though we may not have enough books. We can actually connect the computer to the ELMO and share the site, lesson, story, example basically ANYTHING. The tablets will be a great asset once our WI-fi is finally up and running.

The students are totally amazed by what the ELMO can do. They think it's "super cool" and love being a part of the lessons. Once they heard that we also were awarded 2 tablets they all started putting themselves in order of who will use it first and for what. Unfortunately, we still have not been able to use those. Our wi-fi is still not up.

By being able to display the lessons, worksheets, documents for all to see, has made it more interesting and eye catching. The students are much more involved and can follow along better. This has also helped greatly in lessening the hardship of not having enough materials. Now sharing a book has taken a whole new meaning.

Thank you once again for your generous donations. You have truly impacted the lives of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Armas

My students are AMAZINGLY special. We are an elementary school in the middle of Little Havana, FL. They come to my resource class with the desire to learn and most importantly be like the other students. In our class we have K-5th grade at various times of the day. We have many different disabilities from significantly learning disabled, autisim, intellectually disabled, ADD, ADHD to medically fragile students. Many of our students come from very low socioeconomic homes, where technology is limited. Although the school is very supportive, having so many different levels makes it difficult to have all the resources needed for each level. My students are very humble and would greatly appreciate your generous donations.
