Tablet Mania
Funded Dec 31, 2017My students are over the moon with the tablet that was purchased on their behalf. They go above and beyond in order for me to give them a chance at using the "class tablet". My students are eager to log in and improve their reading skills on helpful websites like Read Theory. The impact this gift has had on my classroom is amazing. They now work twice as hard in order to have some time on the tablet. They don't even see it as learning or improving their reading abilities, as a matter of fact, they view it as a reward and love using it. Thank you so much for your donation and just know that you have made a difference!”

Cozy Learning Corner
Funded Oct 2, 2017When my students saw that the package arrived they were beyond ecstatic. They were so excited to help me open the carpets and begin sitting on them. When I finally set up my classroom, they all flocked with a book in hand and wanted a corner on each carpet to sit on. They were stating how colorful and pretty the carpets were. Additionally, they mentioned how comfortable the carpets were. This project was exactly what I wanted to do with, which was for students to sit comfortable and have a cozy part in their classroom to enjoy a great book. Thank you Chevron for all you do for our students.”

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!Scholastic News Magazine
Funded Oct 13, 2016I am beyond thrilled that you chose to fund my project because in doing so, you have reached so many children. My students are now kept up-to-date with current events and they find these magazines so interesting. This project has motivated my students to read more and their motivation can be seen throughout the school day. My students read their Scholastic News Magazine once a week and for homework they get to summarize their favorite story. My students truly enjoy reading and all the while they are learning about the world around them. Once again thank you for funding our project and for thinking about students and their education.”
