In Need of Supplies For Our Culminating Project
Funded Jan 20, 2016Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous donation to our classroom. With the supplies donated we were able to complete our culminating task to our animal study. Students were able to build elaborate and small scale versions of animals. Students were then able to take those animals and place them in habitats explaining why and the role that adaptations played. Donor, you have made it possible for students to really enjoy the magic of learning in a concrete and hands on way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Help Us Replenish Our Restaurant Supplies

With your donation, the scholars in my class will be able to make their dream of running a class restaurant a reality. Students will be able to apply all of their learnings about the restaurant industry. We will have plates and napkins as well as cups and table cloths to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Building Literacy Through Differentiation
Funded Sep 11, 2015Thank you so much for your incredible support. Our scholars absolutely love going to the listening center and using the cassette player and i-pad. Students also are enjoying the pocket charts that keep them nice and organized when choosing centers. Students are having a blast with their new finger spacers. They are able to put spaces between their words with ease. I can't begin to thank you enough for really supporting our twenty five brilliant scholars. A thousand thanks. We are very fortunate.”

Learning Through Centers
Funded Jun 7, 2015Thank you for your donations. The students have enjoyed listening to their audio books, they have also loved playing in the sensory bin. My science curriculum has been able to really come alive with something as simple as a bin being added to the classroom. We are able to conduct experiments and make observations. I can now make science very hands on and my scholars look forward to playing and exploring in the bin during center time. My scholars and I can't thank you enough! Your donations have transformed our classroom.”

Help Us Run Our Restaurant!
Funded Apr 16, 2015I can't begin to thank you enough for your generous donations. The outfits, the table clothes, supplies and decorative pieces really helped to make this experience come alive for the children. When students first saw the shipment come in they were eager and exited to use the supplies. The grand opening of our restaurant could not come fast enough. Once the restaurant actually launched, students really assumed the role of waiter, manager, chef e.t.c Students were so excited to showcase what they had learned and were happy to have the resources to do so. The materials will continue to be use well after the restaurant is over--they have been retired to a learning center in the classroom. Where students can put on their own mini restaurants.

Tools for Success
Funded Feb 3, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donation to our spring show. With your donation we were able to put on a fabulous performance of Stone Soup. All of the decorations (flowers, garland, hunting cabin etc..) on the stage helped to bring the performance to life. The props helped us really get into character. Students felt like real actors and put on a performance that they were truly proud of. It is because of your commitment to our classroom that we were able to experience success. Getting Organized in Kindergarten
Funded May 20, 2014The project entitled 'Getting Organized In Kindergarten' has been incredibly helpful to the Kindergarten students. When the resources first arrived students in my class were so happy to see their new red bins for organization and the library bins used to organize the books in our classroom library. Students were also excited to se their new trip tags. Both my students and myself were so grateful when the resources arrived.
My students last year benefited from having a organized library. They also benefited from having name tags that kept them safe on their fun exploration of the community.
The project boosted my teaching in that I was able to better organize my classroom and students were able to find materials that were in clearly labeled bins.

Funded Oct 29, 2013I would like to thank you for your generous gift to my bright and inquisitive Kindergarteners. When I first entered my classroom in August and began to level my books (in my small classroom library) I quickly realized that there were far too few books for my new influx of young minds. However, I personally did not have the means to fund a set of leveled books for my students and so appealed to Donor's Choose for support. I was in search of just right books that my students could read independently.
As a first year Kindergarten teacher, I wanted to make sure my students had all of the resources available for success. I was so thrilled to have my project for leveled readers funded and so were my students.They could hardly wait for their new books to arrive. With the new leveled readers I was able to send home books on a weekly basis for students to read . What I have noticed is that my Kindergarteners have grown in confidence and their passion for reading has grown by leaps an bounds because they now have the materials to begin to be successful.
I am so grateful that wonderful donor's have chosen to support my class and change the lives of 26 Kindergarteners. I am deeply grateful .”
