  • Self-Regulation Through Yoga

    Funded Jan 10, 2023

We would like to start off by expressing our most heartfelt and sincere thanks for your charitable contribution. Your thoughtful donation has helped facilitate the growth of our children to help them reach their full potential in their academic environment. It is your sense of compassion that makes differences in others lives.

By funding "Self-Regulation Through Yoga," our students diagnosed with Autism have been able to hear, see, touch and experience the world around us. The items purchased with your donation have helped us facilitate dynamic sensory experiences for our students with disabilities. By providing access to the appropriate resources, our students have demonstrated progress in their functional goals.

The classroom you helped create continues to enhance the daily living skills, social skills, gross and fine motor abilities of our students. The items have enabled students to become alert, helped increase attention span and regulated their bodies for an optimal state for learning.

The students continuously express how much they love their sensory items and their faces light up each time they have the opportunity to explore them. Many of the students benefit from the sensory input the weighted animals and vests provide and teachers have noticed improved attention in class.

Overall the students continue to benefit greatly from their new sensory corner items.

Thank you again for your spirit of generosity. Your contributions have made a significant difference in the lives of our children.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Penelope

  • Swing into Success

    Funded Dec 1, 2015

Thank you for your generous donations! You have made a different in the lives of our students. You donation has helped us make a dynamic multi-sensory experience possible for our underprivileged students diagnosed with autistic and learning disabled.

Today, each student's face instantly lights up when s/he enters the therapy room and sees our new swings. The students always gravitate towards the hanging and spinning swings. Different movements from swinging facilitate a calming or alerting effect on the students nervous system, which in turn allow students to reach optimal potential for learning.

Your generous donations will continue to help our students with disabilities have an opportunity to reach their fullest educational potential. Your contributions will continue to enable our students to flourish and grow as engaged academic citizens of our school community.

Thank you again for your sincere donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Penelope

All our students attend an inner city public school in New York City in a low income community. The majority of the students we service are males. They are sweet kids who lack the appropriate resources to reach their full learning potential. Each child's diagnosis varies whether it is on the autistic spectrum or some type of learning disability. With a wide range of diagnoses, limited resources can limit their potential and access to the educational environment.
