  • Help Students with Disabilities Build an Audio Lab!

    Thank you for your contribution! Dyslexia responds to interventions and without at least basic literacy skills, our students are hopeless in the job market. Audio texts are an empirically validated and evidence-based intervention for students with severe learning disabilities. Using audio texts in a lesson, students will be able to integrate phonemic awareness, decoding skills and comprehension while verifying their reading process constantly through the audio text. We asked for the bare minimum resources to carry out this intervention and with your help, this is was possible.”

  • Life Essentials: Hand Soap for Disenfranchised Youth!

    Thank you for your help! We are thankful that we now have soap to clean our hands after our activities. In our school many students catch colds and pass these viruses and bacteria between them if they don't eliminate these germs before shaking hands. Your contribution helps us stay away from catching colds and keeping ourselves clean after we complete tasks. With your help now we don't have to just wash our hands in water without soap. Thanks again for your helpful contribution to our classroom!”

  • 3D Printer for America's Disenfranchised Youth

    Thanks to your generous contributions, our school has access to technology that is on the very front line of today's possibilities. Our students, many of which are from some of the most disenfranchised circumstances, are now able to participate in work that allows them to see the potential in the world around them. 3D printing allows them to wonder about the capacity of our society to create change, from material objects, to the very relationships that make up our society.     Learning about the complexity of our world puts students in awe. Being in a state of awe humbles aggression, low self-efficacy and many behavior problems. With these tools, our students will be able to explore their vast "inner worlds" together as a group.

As a "push-in" science teacher, it is important to have some visual medium to allow our students to explore subjects as vast and visually rich as biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and the earth sciences. This particular projector will allow us to stream content from our iPads as well as laptops for students to enjoy and interact with.

  • Help Inner City Youth Discover their Inner Worlds

    Our students have taken part in a month long unit based around the supplies that your company has donated. Thank you. Our students have learned about microorganisms and cellular life in the context of disease control, the Ebola epidemic and, of course, an exploration of our own inner worlds by way of the microscope and agar plates that you donated. Students had a great time taking samples of their own bodies and the physical surfaces around them to determine where bacteria likes to grow. Again, thank you.”
