• Heating Up the Classroom to Optimize Learning

  Thank you so much for your donation. Now that we have our heaters we are able to do our assignments without wearing 3 jackets and being side tracked by the cold.

  We really appreciate your kindness!

  Without the heaters our room was cold and we could not do our work to the best of our ability.

  The heaters allow us to be comfortable and not pay attention to the temperature in the room.

  Our grades and knowledge has gone up thanks to the heaters! We are so thankful to you and will always remember your kindness.”

• Chance to Play Baseball

• Protecting Our Football Players' Thighs, Knees, Hips, and Butts

  Football is a dangerous sport and without the right protective equipment an injury is just a play away. Before our new padding came in our season could have been one of injuries and pain as the equipment we had was old and falling apart! But because of your most generous donations, we had few to minimal injuries this past season.

  You should have seen our student-athletes faces when they saw they had new equipment waiting for them when they came for practice our first day back. Instead of pads that was cut or falling apart, they came back to brand new, clean and well protected pads.

• Replacing Warm-Ups Ruined By Hurricane Irma

  Funded Dec 11, 2017

  You could not believe my student - athletes faces when I opened the door to the supply room and they saw our new warm up jackets that are replacing the ones ruined by Hurricane Irma! They all started cheering, hooting and screaming! They are all so HAPPY and excited for next season to get to wear them. Because they came in so late in the school year they all voted to save for next basketball season.

  When we opened that same door the day we got back to school after Hurricane Irma left and the school had back its power, the faces were defiantly different. To have the privilege of having all our Girls' and Boys' Basketball players have a warm up we had to work 16 University of Miami and Miami Dolphin games at Hard Rock Stadium selling ice cream in a concession stand. Each player had to give up Saturdays and Sundays so they could earn enough money to receive their warm up jacket among other things. Now on this Monday, the jackets were all wet and mildew. While every other school wore their warm ups to the games we couldn't. But that has now changed THANKS TO YOU!!!!

  You have really made a bunch of high school aged student athletes HAPPY and APPRECIATIVE! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!”

• Protecting Our Football Players From Injury!

  THANK YOU! so much for your help in helping me properly protect my football players! As you can see from the photos the Shoulder Pads we now have because of you, are properly equipped with the right pads, clips, buckles and coatings. Compared to our old pads (which have been reconditioned throughout the years so they were up to code) but since they were sold old did not have the bells and whistles pads that are made in the last couple of years have.

  Without the proper padding, if a player goes to make a hit or take a hit their upper body is in danger of being injured. With these new pads our players can now feel confident that they are fully protected. THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!

  Without the proper buckles, snaps, etc. a shoulder pad can have all the right pads but the aforementioned items must be able to lock in the pads on the players shoulders. Our old pads had these items but were old so they would fall out, break etc. With our new pads we are now able to properly secure our players pads in the right place and can be confident that they stay in place. THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!

  Over the years shoulder pads can be come smelly, mildew, bacteria, etc. Our old pads did not have the coating that is now placed on shoulder pads to make sure this does not happen. Our new shoulder pads do. THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!1

  in conclusion, because of you my Football Players are now fitted with the most up to date shoulder pads! THANK YOU so much for making sure they are now protected to play the game they love.”

• Keeping Female Athletes Off the Streets During the Spring

  Funded Jan 26, 2016

  On behalf of the Miami Edison Senior High School Girls' Flag Football team I would like to thank you for your contribution towards our uniforms and supplies.

  Your support allowed us to field a team because without uniforms the girls would not have been able to play.

  And since getting the uniforms the girls have not lost a game. They finished the regular season

  11-0 and have made the playoffs. The buzz and confidence of the girls right now is something this school has not seen in a long time. Consequently, a sense of pride and enthusiasm has also embraced our student body which has been lacking. Without your support

  none of this would be possible!

• Basketball Shoes

  Thank you so much for your help! Using the sneakers you purchased for us,

  our Girls' Basketball team improved our wins by 5 games. Foot and leg injuries were done by 90%, as the girls had the proper footwear for the first time in a long time. The girls were able to perform at their best because they were properly equipped and the sneakers were a big part. Consequently, the sneakers also saved our season. Without the sneakers, the team could not play any of their games. The sneakers completed the teams uniforms and allowed the team the play the season. Thank you again!!!”
