  • World Full of Wanders

    Funded Nov 5, 2019

Some people make choices that change lives. Thank you for being one of them! Your donation will help change the way my students see the world they live in. The possibilities are endless, and your help ensure we can forever built a better tomorrow through our project "World Full of Wanders". This two laptops are the tools my students need to interact with the world around them.

My students have limited access to technologist at home, making difficult the search for new and accurate information. In the classroom they will share their concerns and curiosities with their classmates.

Thanks again for your generosity and commitment with our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Marrero

  • Let's Speed Up

    Funded Oct 29, 2013

There are no words that can describe the feelings of my students when they knew that the project was funded. They were excited and impatient waiting for the day that they will receive the laptop. There was no day that had past that they were asking for the laptop. When that day finally arrived it was like Christmas came early. They were eager to start using the laptop for their daily math and reading routines. Now the difference this laptop brought is that we don't lose time and we can go at the same speed the first graders learn.

This year Florida state is implementing a new reading series. With this series the majority of the resources are available by Internet. This laptop allows us to be more caught up as technology advances. We can connect to the internet at greater speeds allowing us to project interactive learning activities with the help of our new laptop.

This project has given me the opportunity to be more efficient in this new era of technology. My students are taking advantage of the new laptop making them learn at a greater pace. For this my students and I always will be grateful for the opportunity you have given us.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Marrero

Students come from a lower social-economic neighborhood. All my students receive free breakfast and lunch. They do not have the same opportunities that most kids have at school. My students want to be part of their community learning a new language to become productive in our society. The students' families are wonderful and caring, but are unable to provide their children with experiences they need.
