Number of the Day!
Funded Aug 14, 2019Thank you so much for your donations to the classroom. The math journals have arrived and the students have gotten a few weeks out of them already. The material aligns nicely with our math curriculum which allows the students to have extra practice or review on the topics we are learning. The journals are used during math workshop either independently or with a partner. I have used these journals in the past and have seen great data. I am looking forward to continuing the use of the journals and getting great data.”

Funded May 14, 2019Thank you so much for the different book that were donated to the classroom. The students cannot wait for the classroom library to open so they can dive into all the new and interesting books in the classroom library. The students are very excited to have the library open so they can read the who was, where is, and what are books. The class previewed the library yesterday and commented on which books captured their interest. Some students even found who they want to complete their research project on. Thanks again!”

Can You Hear Me Now?
Funded Jul 22, 2019Thank you so much for your donations to the classroom. The headphones have been a huge need for the classroom and we were able to start the year off with a full classroom set of headphones. Now every student can access their computer programs when needed. The classroom books for the library have been a great addition to the classroom. The students are loving having some more challenging non-fiction books to read. The students are finding these books so interesting and asking so many questions. It is great to see. Thank you again.”

Funded Mar 14, 2019Thank you so much for your donations to the classroom. The cart has been delivered, put together, and in use for a few days now. Everything is much more organized and in one central location for the students. The drawers on the cart help eliminate clutter throughout the classroom which allows more space for other necessary items. The students love being able to easily access materials, especially during math. Several of the drawers hold their materials for the math centers. It has been nice to see students just walk up, remove the drawer, and get right to work. Thanks again!”

Funded Feb 20, 2019Thank you so much for the three boxes of copy paper. Each fourth grade teacher was able to have an additional box of paper to support academic learning and communication with families. We have already been able to use this paper to send home the monthly reading log and almost a month's worth of homework. The parents have been able to get the newsletter which allows them to stay connected with what is happening in the classroom and the building. Thank you for making this possible for us. We appreciate it.”

Write That!
Funded Jan 1, 2019Thank you so much for your donations to the classroom. The materials have arrived and were much needed. The dry erase markers went right into the bins for the students to begin using and they are loving having brand new markers to write with. The Reusable write and wipe pocket charts have been amazing during math workshop time. They are durable so they hold up to the many uses they have already gotten so far. I was also able to add new erasers by cutting up the felt squares. Now boards can be properly erased and kept in great shape. Thank you!”

Funded Jan 1, 2019Thank you so much for the wonderful donations of books for literature circles during guided reading workshop. The students have enjoyed having these books since they are the books in the series some groups are currently reading. The class was so excited to open the boxes and see these books inside. They took a few minutes and flipped through the pages deciding which ones they wanted to read next. These books helped add some excitement to reading and to literature circles so thank you for helping with that.”

May I Have a Pencil?
Funded Nov 25, 2018Thank you so much for your donation to the classroom. The students were very thrilled to hear that they were getting new pencils to help with our weekly pencils. They are loving these fun and exciting pencils in the weekly pencil bin. I love seeing how excited they get every Monday morning when they see their new weekly pencil. Prior to this project, the students were getting just plain pencils which was boring to them. Now, they are excited to use their new pencils which means they are excited to learn every day. Thank you again!”

Flexible Seating
Funded Dec 4, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations of the movement stools. The stools arrived yesterday and the students were so excited to open the boxes and see what was inside. The stools have been a huge excitement during independent reading time in the afternoons. The sole purpose of the stools was to make more room at the guided reading table. We used them yesterday and today during guided reading and the students were much more comfortable and relaxed. This created a better working and learning environment.”

Clip This!
Funded Dec 29, 2018Thank you so much for your donations. The chart paper and clip boards arrived this morning. The students loved opening the boxes and seeing all the new materials inside. We used the new chart paper today during math to make group posters involving fractions. The students loved being able to display their work on a bulletin board for everyone to see. The clip boards will be very helpful during math workshop when we are working on the carpet. The students needed a hard surface to write on for neatness.”
