Funded May 8, 2024Thank you for your generous donation to this project. We were able to provide chess boards to the members of our chess team so they could practice their skills over the summer. We are also going to have enough boards to provide our new chess team with home practice boards this year.
Our students have developed many skills in our chess program. They develop critical thinking skills, independence, cooperation, and work ethics. We highlight good sportsmanship and being a part of a team.
Our students are able to make good connections at home by teaching chess skills to their family members. We have seen an increase in English skills among our English language learners and benefits to Social-Emotional health as well
Thank you again for your generous donation!”

Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom project. The supplies and necessities that were provided by this project impact my students on a daily basis. Because we have the basic materials we need like pencils, whiteboard markers, and crayons, we can focus on our academics.
These donations also help my students be more productive at home. I can send supplies home with families that may not be able to provide materials for homework to continue learning at home.
Thank you for supporting teachers and classrooms on Donors Choose. Your generosity and kindness impacts in more ways than you can measure.”

Funded Nov 18, 2022Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. These supplies have helped up get through these cold and rainy winter months, especially the several boxes of tissues! Sometimes it is difficult for families to provide these types of supplies for our classroom so it has made a big difference in the health of my students. I have even been able to send boxes home with students to provide support there.
I appreciate the Donors Choose donors and your commitment to helping classrooms across the country. Thank you for your ongoing support!”

Funded Oct 13, 2022I want to thank you for your generous support of our classroom. Your donation enabled all of my students to have new computer mice to assist with their work on their classroom Chromebooks. These new assistive technologies have already made a huge difference in their work.
My students are in third grade, and this is the first year they will need to take the state test. The test can be very difficult to navigate when using just the touchpad on the chromebook. Many of my students are still developing their hand-eye coordination and have trouble using the touchpad to complete tasks. The mouse is a much easier device for them to use, and it has cut down on their mistakes. The mice also allow my students much more freedom when creating artwork on their computer or using other tools.
I want to assure you that your generosity is appreciated. My students are already experiencing the benefits of these new tools!”

Funded Sep 1, 2021Thank you for contributing to our classroom project. Your generosity has allowed my students to have the materials and supplies they needed to start off the new school year in person. Without your generous support, my students may not have been able to participate in art projects and other classroom activities to get them off to a right start to returning back to the classroom in person.
Last year the majority of my students spent the school year online. Being back in the classroom in person has allowed them to participate in activities that they missed out on last year and has made their school experience more satisfying and engaging. Your contribution to my classroom project has provided my students with experiences to help them grow and flourish. Thank you again for supporting classrooms through Donors Choose.”

Organized and Ready!
Funded Aug 18, 2021The materials from organized and ready have made a big impact in my classroom. As a result of your generosity, my students have had the materials they have needed to start the school year and feel successful. The backpack storage rack has helped to keep our classroom neat and organized. My students are able to store their items in a neat, clean way that promotes their health and safety. They are less distracted by their backpacks and items from home because they are out of reach.
My students and I appreciate your kindness and generosity.”

Becoming Readers and Writers
Funded Jun 11, 2021I want to thank you for your generous donation toward funding my project for reading and writing materials. Your donation will help my third graders acquire a deeper understanding of language arts concepts through hands-on exploration and practice.
The impact these materials will have on my students will be incredible. My new class just started school in person last week after being only virtual for nearly 18 months. While their virtual teachers did their best to provide support and learning, the results of virtual learning are apparent. My class is working 1-2 grades below 3rd grade level, and many of them are struggling with 3rd grade standards. These materials will allow me to fill in some of the learning gaps and help them with the skills they are missing.
Again, I appreciate your support. Thank you for supporting my classroom and students.”

Write Like Charlotte...A Novel Study
Funded Jan 5, 2021I wanted to write to thank you for your generousity and kindness. In choosing to donate to this project, you enabled my students to have the materials they would need for returning to the classroom or continuing with distance learning.
At a time when myself and my students were experiencing a lot of uncertainty and confusion, knowing that we would have supplies and materials to help us get started back in the classroom was very comforting. My students will be able to participate in our yearly literature unit for Charlotte's Web whether we are in person or still virtual, and we are all very excited about that!
Thank you for making this unusual school year a little bit easier. Your support has helped to create more stability in these trying times.”

Mrs. Robbins
