My middle school students are extraordinarily opinionated and creative, especially since they are a part of a performing arts school. They can't wait to use movement to express what words often cannot. Unfortunately, most of my students cannot afford to take outside dance lessons; I am sometimes their one and only encounter with dance. Our school values the arts, yet there never seems to be enough money to fully support all of the dreams and ideals we have for our programs.
