I have been a teacher for over 7 years now and this is my second year teaching in 1st grade. This grade has taught me so much about the importance of reading and math in going forward. My goal every year is that my students leave knowing they have succeeded and are ready for the next grade. With technology advancements, there are so many academic areas students can learn to read and solve math problems. I teach at a Title I school and my students are always eager to learn. My project: Students will use Osmo with their IPads to enhance the way they use a device in the classroom. Osmo is an IPad attachment that gives student endless opportunities to learn and play. Students will have the opportunity to engage in art, words, tangrams, and physics. Donations to this project will allow students to be more active when using their device. It fosters social intelligence and creative thinking skills.
