Do you remember when you could read the words on a page for the first time? Can you think of a time when an adult read a book to you and transported you into another world? Close your eyes and think of your favorite children's book. Why did you just smile? Some of my students don't see a book until they come into my classroom. My school doesn't have money for anything. I teach in a city school in Pennsylvania. My students are five and six years old and very eager to learn about the world around them. My students are like little sponges ready to take on the world.
