  • Adventures in Learning about Financial Literacy

    Funded Oct 7, 2024

My resources that I requested, went to really good use. The students had the opportunity to create beautiful pieces of work with the markers, and colored pencils that were donated.

One example was for November, the students designed dolls.

We are especially appreciative of the Charles Swab Foundation. The impact of their generosity is far reaching and inspirational to my students. When they see what they can do with the materials given, it is just the beginning of a brand new and colorful world around them.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cantin

This classroom project was brought to life by Charles Schwab Foundation and one other donor.
  • Full Steam Ahead with STEM

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so very much for supporting my students. The donations were used in a

variety of subjects across the curriculum. When the boxes arrived, the children gleamed

    with excitement and anticipation.

The crayons were delivered first, most of my students never have had their own

crayons. One of my students started crying when she received her very own crayons.

We worked on making colorful brochures to visit Mexico. The students, especially,

loved the magnetic and STEM games for Science.”

  • Full Steam Ahead with the Basics

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

My students are so eager now to do projects because of the wonderful construction paper, and markers we received. One of my students started crying when we first received all the supplies. He said, we live in a shelter and we don't have any markers there, or any supplies at all. All my students were overjoyed. Each and everyday my students come in singing because they know , we're going to be working on a project.

In the next couple of weeks, we will be working on creating dioramas of the Rain Forest . We will be using the construction paper and markers that were so graciously donated to my students.”

  • Enriching Students Through Puppetry

    Funded Nov 27, 2017

My students were so excited when the puppets arrived. They were so eager to role-play

different scenarios. An important part of my classroom is building self-esteem, instilling

important values and moral ethics, and the use of the puppets help create the perfect setting.

The students brainstorm different scenarios, then write a story. Then, the students proceed

to act out different values. One scenario would be where the students focus on gratitude.

They come up with a story centered around the puppets acting out a story of gratitude.

Afterwards, the students show illustrations of the puppets showing gratitude. We thank all

that helped bring my plan to life. We are forever grateful. Thank you so much for your

    generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cantin

  • Inspiring Young Minds

    Funded Oct 2, 2014

Thank you so very much for all the supplies. My students and I love everything. As a teacher of 27 years, it is always so endearing to me, for people whom are striving to make everything possible to help create an enriching, and learning environment. All the sponsors of this amazing corporation have made it possible for my students to have resources, otherwise, they would have not had access to this year. My students love all the paints, markers, crayons, construction paper and colored pencils. We also, love the pencils and pencil sharpeners. It opened a whole new door to their learning and creativity . We have been working in our journals with illustrations that have come alive because of these resources . When my students have to do a project they get so excited that, we have resources that make it happen. They can't wait to get started. Thank you so very much.”

    Funded Sep 30, 2014

My students were so excited with all the amazing materials we received. The first resource we used was the crayons. We had only had broken ones, so my students so very elated with the crayons. All of their journal drawings have become so much neater, without having to use broken crayons, We then, proceeded to use the markers. The markers made our use of our beautiful construction paper illustrations, so vivid and bold in color,The construction paper enhanced our projects, tremendously. We are so very grateful with all of the resources we received.”

The impact of the wonderful donations to my class has opened up so many doors to other avenues. My classroom will be forever changed because of your generosity.
