My students come from an urban environment. Our school is in the inner city of Milwaukee. All of my students come from low income families, we are a kindergarten age four class. At the beginning of the year these students were with a class made up of over 40 students. In late September they were moved into a classroom where there were 23 students now. They went through nine substitutes before I was able to take the class over. My kids have been amazing at adapting to the changes in their environment. They are funny, they love to be loved, and they challenge themselves. Our theme is superheroes, they live up to those expectations. They make super choices by doing what they are told and they never give up during learning. Our school is an art school so we get to go to art, music, and physical education. Our school has many new teachers including me. We work together. Our class collaborates with the 4th grade class, together we have made letters to send to the elderly. The kids are super!
