My new 3rd graders this year have been at home most of last school year and I want to share my passion and excitement of reading non-fiction books with them. They have been doing mostly on-line learning and receiving these new books will bring a variety of books to our classroom that students will be able to read in class and take home. I have mainly fiction books in my classroom library so we are in need of non-fiction titles. Some of the books are science related and some are biographies. I have chosen a diverse group of books that provide differentiated reading levels, topics, and points of view. My goal is for my students to increase vocabulary and expand their reading ability while bringing excitement towards reading with more non-fiction choices.
