Reading Recovery High Interest Book Library

You deserve a world of thanks for your generosity of donating books to our classroom. The kids (and myself!) were so excited to receive new reading materials. The educational value of books that have color pictures (we had been using a lot of printed books) is so high! We had just finished a modified Book Club Unit, and the children truly had a new desire to learn to read. Students immediately chose two books to independently read, and these last few weeks of school, there still is a buzz of excitement about learning.

As the teacher, I have used these books to help these students continue to learn to read. The students have been busy learning new things, and one of the students, who is artistically gifted, started making similar stories and illustrations much like Eric Carlisle, who wrote one of the books that you sent us. Our reading library also looks much more professional.
