  • It's So Hard to Say Goodbye!

    Funded Apr 19, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to share just how impactful your generous donation to my project has been for my students and me. Thanks to your support, every student was able to receive a new water bottle, positive affirmation stickers, and a draw-string bag. Each and every student was absolutely thrilled. This group of students got to see that with hard work they can achieve success. Their eyes lit up as they each got to personalize their water bottles with those affirmations that most resonated with them. It will serve as their daily reminder.

All of these resources were put to great use. We ended the year with a special and beautiful moment of recognition and celebration. Each student got their superlative award that highlighted their unique strengths and contributions to our classroom community.

Thank you for giving them-and me-a chance to create lasting memories and to end the school year on such a positive note.”

  • Glow With Us

    Funded Sep 16, 2023

Thank you all so much for your donations to my project. We just had our first GLOW day. It was a huge success. Better than I could have imagined. They worked so hard during their testing and during the celebration each of my students said that it was the "best day ever!"

These are some of the best moments as an educator to get to show my students that their hard work does pay off. Celebrating their success with a GLOW day is a fun way to acknowledge the determination and effort invested into achieving success. Recognizing the positive outcomes also enables students to reflect on themselves and their efforts, which is a crucial aspect of their learning journey. This promotes self awareness and independence.

Again with all my heart thank you all for your donations and helping us GLOW!”

  • Even Little Super Heroes Need Classroom Essentials!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my class project. The moment we received the boxes, we opened them as a class and began to use all of the items. Having these class essentials like the pre-sharpened pencils have come in so handy in the day to day. Our class schedule is now up and clear for all to see. The motivational posters have been a sweet touch to the class and what was the best surprise were the super hero capes. It has completely added another level of motivation for my students to behave. Each and every student wants to be the "hero" of the class. This means that they are truly the model for excellent behavior. When they walk the halls and even just being in our classroom they all seem to hold their head up just a big higher! These moments have just been priceless.”

  • Water Bottles, Headphones, Class Odds and Ends!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you all so much for donating to my project. The water bottles are such a big hit in my classroom. They have come in so handy and it adds a touch of color to my classroom. The student's use them daily. We are definitely staying hydrated here in the desert. Each of my students has been able to decorate them with stickers and have made them their own. The headphones we recieved are a weight being lifted off my shoulders so that every student can get to their work and interventions at once. Distractions are minimal thanks to being able to provide every student with their own headphones. I am also beyond happy with having a stapler that has lived up to its name: Jam Free! The Paper with No Name! book has also been just what I needed to reinforce and help each student remember to write their name on their work. All of these items are very much appreciated and I can't thank you all enough. You have truly made a difference in my classroom in more ways than one.”

  • Help Us Find Our Rug Spot!

    Funded Aug 18, 2023

Thank you all for your donations to a brand new classroom rug. We were in desperate need of a new one. The kids were so excited when we opened it. Having this new rug is essential to my classroom. We use it daily for read aloud stories, whole group learning, and a comfortable and clean place for the students to do their independent work. Our rug is our classroom centeripiece. I love getting the students together to sit and work on this perfectly inviting new rug. They each have their own letter to sit on and it also helps me offer my students teachable moments with the alphabet and pictures. Thank you again for helping us find our rug spot!”

  • Listen and Learn!

    Funded Jan 20, 2023

Thank you all so much for your donations to my project. The headphones I received were so helpful and really a necessity. We use them daily. They really helped my students focus on their tasks at hand. Along with the intervention programs our district offers, I have also signed up my class for a program called Zearn. This program helps my students with math and it is directly related to the math I cover in the class. I love this site because it offers my students a chance to review passed lessons and its all on their own. It has been so wonderful to know that I have to tools at hand to help each and every student succeed.”

  • A Listening and Viewing Experience!

    Funded Jul 24, 2022

Thank you all so much for helping my class and I. We have since added our new listening center to our daily center rotation. My students absolutely love listening to a stroy in a group. Some of them even ask me to use it during their free choice time and sometimes even ask to come in for lunch to hear a story. Our printer has also been put to work. I can now print so easily and don't have to walk down the hall. I have been able to print in color for my students as well. I am also very happy to share that my bulletin board outside of my classrom is never short of student work and the extra touches to make it stand out. So once again thank you for helping me enhance my students listening and viewing experience.”

  • STEM Bins, Water Bottles, and Prizes, Oh My!

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

Thank you all so much for your donation to my project. The water bottles have been such a hit. My students are able to refill them here at school and each have been able to get personalized with their own stickers. They are so colorful and easy to spot if one gets left behind. The STEM bins have been just the missing piece to have a wonderful start to our mornings. The students get to choose what they want to use. It creates a smooth and easy transition for our morning routine. The prizes and student gifts have been used in our end of the week prize box and I have had little gifts to make big holidays even more special.

From the bottom of my heart and from my students we want to thank you for helping donate to our project and make our class brighter.”

  • Who Doesn't Need a Little Bit of Fun?

    Funded Jun 8, 2022

What a wonderful start to our school year with introducing them to "Fun Fridays!" During fun Friday, I let the students choose what games they would like to play. Right in front of my eyes I've seen brand new friendships blossom. They are getting better at taking turns, communicating with one another and learning to put things back for the next time. As a teacher having a special time like this allows me to use this as an incentive. We work hard and then get to play just as hard. I love seeing the students play together and it gives me time to catch up on grading and imputing grades.

From the bottom of my heart thank you all again so much for your kind donations to this project that has truly been so helpful in my classroom.”

  • Happy, Sad and Everything in Between!

    Funded Jun 19, 2022

Thank you all so much for these special addition tools to my classroom. We have been able to start our year with making sure that we find the words to match our feelings. In a class full of language learners, it is important to make sure that everyone knows how to express themselves and that it is okay to have different feelings. Through building with legos, our puzzle feeling match and our numerous conversations about how to fill our buckets, I feel that my class is on their way to better social emotional health. Now that we are learning the vocabulary and some of us using other ways to show how we feel, we are now working on strategies to manage these different emotions.

I have now introduced to my class their emotions journal. It is the perfect way to get a check of how my students are feeling, practice working through their emotions and the added bonus of also working on our writing skills.”

My English Language Development 2nd grade classroom is made up of 25 of our futures brightest. These students come from a variety of countries and attend a southern Arizona Title 1 school. Our school prides itself on having a STEM focus and mission I truly believe in. We are training future Arizona Scientists, Technologists, Engineers-Artists and Mathematicians. 99% of my students are on free or reduced lunch and come from low-income households. Each and every day, despite any odds they may face, my students come to school excited and ready to learn. I have two motto's in my classroom. One is "Don't give up," and "Oh the places they will go!"
