  • Art Supplies Needed After Harvey!

    Funded Jan 1, 2018

The first thing I tried to secure for my kids were books but right after that it was art supplies. Art is so important in early childhood. Those art supplies are used and enjoyed on a daily basis. My children and I both love incorporating art into our lessons. We really appreciate not only having some art supplies but having a variety of them to choose from when working on our projects. My kids and I cannot believe how lucky we were to find someone who enjoys art as much as we do. Making a mess and learning a lot that is what we enjoy! Thank you so much for your donation.”

  • Interactive Software And Laptop Needed After Harvey!

    Funded Jan 17, 2018

My class and I really appreciate your donation. The touch screen laptop has made a huge difference with my immature students who have a lot of trouble using a mouse. Some of my students have never been exposed to a desktop so using a touch screen laptop is very important to their education. The interactive software is very popular in my classroom. The kids love using and playing with the different games. My kids request the interactive software on a daily basis. We really love the software and laptop.”

  • Thematic Books And Workstation Resources Needed!

    Funded Dec 20, 2017

My kids and I are so thankful for your support and donation. As teachers we always enjoy books but books organized by theme and put together that is just a cupcake with icing and a big cherry on top. My kids are enjoying the books so much. I now have a variety of books to use in my class. My children go through dry erase markers like water so the markers and dry eraser kits are very welcome in my class. The alphabet tiles are used in small group daily by me and our teacher aide. Thank you again for funding our project!!!”

  • Osmo Kits, Games and Tables Needed After Harvey!

    Funded Jan 17, 2018

I was so excited when I found out that we got this project funded. It was not until I opened the box and started playing with the Osmo that I realized how wonderful these games really are. The tables have changed how my room looks and feels. My kids call them mini-tables because our old tables were huge. Now they can reach the materials and we have a table to set up our Osmos. Everyday my students are asking if it is their turn for the technology workstation. It is the most famous workstation in the room. Thank you so much for your donation.”

  • A Listening Station and Some Storage Needed After Harvey!

    Funded Dec 4, 2017

My kids absolutely adore the listening station. They look so cute with their knees crossed and reading their books. The storage bins, bookcase, and help yourself book center have helped my kids immensely. We use these items everyday! My kids are able to keep their materials at their workstations nice and neat thanks to your donation. We use the bookcase to store our class binders, lunch kits, and breakfast items. We are so grateful for your donation and your generosity because it has made a huge difference in our room.”

  • A Dream Come True After Harvey IPads For Everyone!

    Funded Jan 9, 2018

In my 20 plus years of teaching, I never imagined being able to serve all of my kids at the same time in terms of technology. Once a week maybe during computer ancillary but not in my classroom. I feel so blessed to have had this project funded and I just cannot thank you enough. My students saw the 20 charging cart being rolled in and were so excited. They don't even know what it is but if it means an Ipad for each to use they are in. My kids are so happy and love having "their own" Ipad to use in class. Thank

    you so much!”

  • iPads Needed For My Students!

    Funded Jan 9, 2018

My students are so happy with the Ipads we received this week. The cases are absolutely perfect for this age group. They seem like they will really protect our technology. The headphones are better then what I ever imagined. It is so cute to see them adjusting the microphone for them to speak. I have even caught some of them singing into an unplugged Ipad. My kids are so happy and happy kids make a very happy teacher. I am very thankful to you for your donation. Your donation has allowed more of my children access to the internet on a daily basis. Thank you so much!”

  • A Charging Cart, Markers and Supplies For Our Class.

    Funded Dec 26, 2017

My kids and I are so appreciative of your support. My students now have easy access to the materials they need to be successful. Their Ipads are going to be fully charged and ready for them to use. My students are thrilled that we have markers to use at their workstations. The families of my classroom are very emotional because when they realize that all the materials we are receiving are donations they are just so grateful. These materials have made a huge difference in the daily running of the classroom. Thank you so much for your help!”

  • Technology Needed After Harvey

    Funded Dec 4, 2017

As soon as I found out we were funded, I told the children and they were excited. As soon as a box showed up they were thrilled. They saw that apple on the devices and were ready to "play" with the big IPAD as they put it. My kids love using the headphones with microphones. They record themselves and enjoy hearing their recordings. The Apple TV is a huge hit. I can not only explain how to work applications on the projector, now I can show them step by step using the big IPAD. Thank you so much for your help and donations. We really appreciate it!!”

  • Math Materials Needed After Harvey!

    Funded Nov 6, 2017

I cannot thank you enough for your help with this project. Teaching Math is so much more fun with new toys. At least that is what my kids call them. They really enjoy Math workstations now and that is thanks to your donation. My students look forward to Math time and during workstation they are so enthusiastic. Thanks to your donation, I have the materials to make workstations for every unit (money, shapes, numbers, etc.). I am surprised daily at the kindness that we are being shown by donors like you. Thank you so much!!!”

I have 50 wonderful boys and girls in my class. I have the best dual language learners in my class. They are a group of energetic and very inquisitive Texans. We were recently hit hard by Harvey and relocated for half of the school year to another school in order to rebuild our schol. We are home this school year but still in the process of recovery. We are at an elementary school that serves over 600+ PK through 5th grade students. We have a 91% free and reduced lunch rate and are a Title I school. When I surveyed my parents many of them do not have desktops at home and the ones who do have one do not allow my students to use them.
