  • Small Technology for Small Hands

    Funded Dec 2, 2019

I feel so blessed that this project was funded. My students absolutely love the IPOD touches that were funded, The IPOD touches have let me extend the technology workstation and my students are able to go just about anywhere in the room with the cases and the wireless headphones. My kids really enjoy moving around the room and being able to just roam. These devices have made learning fun and easy. Thank you for your generosity. This project has helped more of my kids get exposed to different types of technology and that is what all young kids need this day of age. We really appreciate your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Alejandro-Uvalle

    Funded Sep 23, 2019

My students and I are so grateful for funding this project. My student's have been so highly motivated everyday thanks to the incentives that you all bought us. My kids are so happy and enthusiastic to meet their goals thanks to this project. The parents of my students are so happy to see their kids learning and receiving incentives for their hard work. Teachers have so much to do but thanks to this project I do not have to worry about buying prizes for our class treasure chest or incentives every holiday season. Thank you so much for making my kid's school year!!!”

  • Cricut Machine and Cartridges Needed After Harvey

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

This project has significantly changed my classroom. I have been able to redecorate the room and make so many fun things for my kids. The Cricut machine is so easy to use and has so many uses in the classroom. I made a wonderful display outside of the classroom that the kids and parents really love. All of the different cartridges have opened up a world of possibilities for my kids and I to explore. I can't wait to make more things for my kids with all the goodies in this project. Thank you so much for help!!”

  • Magnetic Materials and Storage Needed After Harvey

    Funded Jul 27, 2018

Thank you so much for funding this project. My kids and I really needed the storage for the materials we received. My kids really enjoy having huge magnetic letters to make their name and copy vocabulary words. The alphabet picture magnets are a big hit at the Language Arts workstation. The kids really love trying to spell out the names of the alphabet pictures. And me as the teacher absolutely love the storage caddies and paper trays. Having an organizes room makes me very happy. Thank you so much for your help!!”

  • Science Materials Washed Away After Harvey!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you very much for your donation. After losing the majority of my games, materials, and furniture during hurricane Harvey it was such a blessing to get this project funded. As teachers we worry about so many things so not having to worry about having materials to teach my kids is priceless. My kids love the thematic boxes and they are so well organized and easy to use. I love all the manipulatives like the color paddles, the hand lens, and see inside balance. My lessons are so easy to plan having the materials readily available. Thank you so much for your support!!”

  • An "Smart"er Amazon Classroom Needed

    Funded Jul 27, 2018

How can I even begin to describe the amount of fun that the children and I have with the Amazon Alexa devices? My kids ask for the weather, pictures, how to say things in Spanish, and jokes. These devices are so useful. The classroom music is so loud. When we are doing our morning relaxation techniques the classical music is essential. The smart plugs allow us to save energy by programming the usage to only school hours. The extra Ipads have allows the technology workstation to be extended to 2 more people. We are thrilled to have all of these devices and all thanks to your donation!!!!”

  • Cricut Accessories and Storage Needed

    Funded Jul 27, 2018

I wanted to give thanks for letting loose my creativity. I never though of myself as a very creative person but with these materials it was very hard not to let go. My classroom theme is "Star Wars" so the paper has been to great use in decorating and making the classroom labels in the room. My students have seen the shirts that I have made at home and are already lining up to "design" their own shirt. The storage cart and storage files have been so useful in clearing the clutter. The rolling cart always the Cricut machine to travel when needed and be safe. Thank you so much for your support.”

  • Classroom Camera and Photo Printer Needed After Harvey

    Funded Jul 30, 2018

You cannot imagine the impact the materials in this project have had in our classroom. I am taking so many pictures and the parents are so happy. When they walk in the room they see pictures of their kids everywhere. The photo printer allows me to get things done so much faster then having to wait to go to the corner store and get pictures developed. I am saving time and money everyday. The flat screen monitors are what the kids are enjoying the most and I love the fact that they take up less room. Thank you so much for your donation and support my class really appreciates it!!!”

  • Language Arts Resources Needed After Harvey!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

How can you tell if teacher likes to shop? When her students recognize Lakeshore boxes. When some of our boxes started arriving at the office I was not the one who first noticed them. The delivery man showed up and my kids got all excited and I asked why and they said, "Look Lakeshore boxes they might be ours". And the funny thing is they were our boxes. My students love all the new resources but their favorite items are the magnetic fishing rods and the magnetic alphabet pictures. Those magnets are so useful during the whole group lesson, small group and during workstation time. Thank you so much for your donation because it has changed workstation time!”

  • We Need Basic Supplies And Chairs After Harvey!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

You cannot imagine how wonderful it is to have enough chairs for my students to use at their tables and workstations. The climate in the room has changed for the better. The transition time also was cut because the teacher did not have to run around the room moving chairs and the students were not arguing about chair ownership. My aide and myself are so grateful for adult sized chairs because our backs really needed them. We were also running low on baby wipes and ziploc bags so this project got funded just in time. Thank you so much for funding this project.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Rebuild Texas Fund and 5 other donors.
I have 50 wonderful boys and girls in my class. I have the best dual language learners in my class. They are a group of energetic and very inquisitive Texans. We were recently hit hard by Harvey and relocated for half of the school year to another school in order to rebuild our schol. We are home this school year but still in the process of recovery. We are at an elementary school that serves over 600+ PK through 5th grade students. We have a 91% free and reduced lunch rate and are a Title I school. When I surveyed my parents many of them do not have desktops at home and the ones who do have one do not allow my students to use them.
