  • A Box of My Own

    Funded Sep 4, 2020

Thank you for your donation. My students enjoy having their own book box to store their journals, crayons, and books. Each student having their own box helps me feel confident that I am doing everything I can to keep students safe.

When they first saw their boxes they were excited to see they had something of their own to keep their supplies in and no one else could use them. Having the boxes has helped them keep things together and they are not losing their supplies.

During these tough times it is nice knowing that there are kind people like you to help our students. My next steps for this project is for them to have space for them to keep their personal books they will make.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Becky Keith

  • Engaging in Math

    Funded Dec 29, 2019

Thank you for you generous donation. My students are more engaged in math stations with the new activities. My ELL students are able to feel successful and able to build more math vocabulary.

When we first go the materials you would have thought it was Christmas morning when I opened the box. They immediately wanted to open everything at once. We spent the whole afternoon opening everything and playing with each thing. They had the best time and still continue to use these items daily. They love them!

Thank you again for your donation. We greatly appreciate it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Becky Keith

  • Little Engineers in the Making

    Funded Dec 18, 2019

My students are using the new resources everyday and loving it. They are able to freely create what they want and have fun with it. These materials are so versatile they don't tire of it, they build and rebuild during the whole station time.

When they first saw the materials they got so excited. It was like Christmas morning. They were all eager to immediately start building and creating.

We truly appreciate your generosity in the donation for this project. Without the kindness of our donor's we would not be able to provide the materials we need.

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Dramatic Play Makeover

    Funded Aug 9, 2019

The impact that your donation has been a great one. The kids love to go to the dramatic play station so they can pretend to play like they are in a restaurant and take orders and use the cash register to pay for food. They love using the phone to pretend to take pizza orders. The interaction the kids have with each other is positive and my ELL students are talking more as they tell their friend what they want to "eat" or when taking orders on the play phone.

We all think you again for your generous donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Becky Keith

  • Indoor Recess Fun

    Funded Nov 13, 2018

Thank you for you donation. The kids were so excited when we opened the boxes and couldn't wait to open the new games. The kids are have enjoyed the few days of indoor recess. The games are a big hit! They are getting the hang of problem solving in order for the pizza topper to not fall too quickly. The monkey balance will bring them to laugh out loud when the tree falls. The new puzzles are popular as well. The Jenga type bugs is fun to watch them play as well as they are trying to remove the blocks from the middle without it falling.

Your generous donation is greatly appreciated. They have options to keep them busy without getting bored quickly.

We appreciate you so much! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Becky Keith

  • For the Love of Reading

    Funded Oct 2, 2018

I want to say thank you for the donation so I could get leveled books for the kids to have at the reading station. When we got the books there was a lot of cheering. They have enjoyed trying to learn to read them. They are eager to be able to get one of the books to read. Some have even asked to take one home to have a sibling or parent read it with them. Of course I have let them. Any time a kid gets excited about a book and reading is a great thing.

Having a mix of fiction and non fiction books is exciting for kids. They love to be able to have leveled readers in a non fiction and still be able to learn facts about things on their reading level. With fiction books they can read and have ideas on how they can write their own fiction book just like the one they just read.

Thank you again for your donation.”

  • Flexible Seating

    Funded Sep 3, 2018

Thank you for helping to fund our flexible seating project. The students were so excited to receive the floor seats and chairs. They were so excited and used them right away.

We are using the floor seats in the reading literacy station for them to have optional seating other than the small couch and the floor. This gives them a comfortable place to sit and have back support to be able to recline since the floor seats have optional recline abilities.

The chairs are being used at the intervention table where they get to play various games to work on their reading skills.

Thank you so much for helping fund our project.”

    Mrs. Becky Keith

  • Swing Into Learning With Basic Supplies

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

With your help I was able to finish the school year with enough supplies and have some to start the next school year with enough supplies for the kiddos. I hope you know how much your generosity means to us. They enjoyed the writing station and got excited to write stories on new journal paper. Having the lines on the journal paper allowed them to get better at their handwriting. The colored pencils, markers, and new crayons made their journal writing come alive with their drawings. The new scissors allowed me to be able to throw away the old rusty ones.

Thank you again for helping us get new supplies for our classroom.”

  • Adding and Subtracting in 1st grade

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

Thank you so much for your kindness and donating to my project. My students are using the new games on a daily basis. Some are getting some of their math facts memorized by using the flash cards. One of my struggling students is beginning to grasp the concept of subtraction with the bee subtracting game. It is helping to have new and engaging materials to gain their attention and excitement for learning.

When they first saw the games, you would have thought it was Christmas morning. They all wanted to immediately get their hands on it. After going over rules and expectations for how to use the materials they were able to use them.

Having these materials as new math stations/centers is helping to keep their attention and their engagement is increasing. They are not getting bored. My struggling students are gaining confidence and knowledge with the skills, while my higher students are challenged by timing themselves to see how many math facts they can correctly identify in a given time.

I can not begin to thank you enough for your generosity. It is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.”

  • Independent Literacy Stations for 1st Grade

    Funded Sep 28, 2017

Thank you again for helping me build my literacy stations with activities the students enjoy. They are having so much fun with playing with sounds. With the learn and locks they have the picture to help guide them to find the key to open it. They love building a house for their partners to read. They love making up crazy sentences with the word family flip books. In guided reading groups we use the letter tiles to build our sight words or spelling words.

When they first saw the materials they got so excited and wanted to dive right in. Of course we went over what to do first, but they have really caught on and are starting to become independent with the activities.

My next step with some of the learning locks is to have them make a sentence out of a word they unlock. With the word family flip books they are going to start putting each word they make onto 2 index cards and will make a memory game out of it.

Again, thank you so much for helping me give students meaningful and engaging activities.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Becky Keith
